This place blows. Cheap tasting food, rude staff, and the whole place could use a deep clean.

Dietary restrictions: They are very good about holding something that you don't want in your meal. The servers do everything they can to make sure you get exactly what you want.Kid-friendliness: Our group is always adults, however I often see children there. They also have a child's menuWheelchair accessibility: There appears to be plenty of parking and also handicap parking places. You can get up to the restaurant easily. It's a pretty roomy restaurant, and they're willing to move tables and/or chairs to accommodate people.

We had Easter dinner here, and we were not disappointed! Our server was excellent!
Went tonight for dinner after takin the kids out to the mall. Walk in and nobody in the front to seat us. Had to call out for someone to come to the front. It was pretty dead so i get it. Server was nice enough. Took our orders and we sat there for a good while. It's been a few years since I've been to a mimi's but i swore there was supposed to be a bread basket. Kept a menu to consider ordering a cocktail, looked around at the food part and sure enough there was an add on of some kinda carrot bread to "add to your basket." Server wasn't around so i had to waive down a worker just chillin nearby so i could ask about the bread basket. He brings one out and it's just a basket full of like baguette slices and a little butter. Not what i remembered. Not a very great experience for bein away from a mimi's for so long. Food was ok i guess not really impressive for the cost. Definitely won't be returning to this location at least. If i hit up another one it'll likely be elk grove or roseville to see if quality of food and service has gone down everywhere or just this arden location.

*** I have always enjoyed the food, usually the service as well. This time, we had to wait way to long to have the order taken. Then the food also took forever.

First time we went to the Alta Arden Mimi's Cafe, we (my boyfriend and I) had a horrible and distasteful experience. We started off with the three course meal. Two salads the house and ceaser salads were good. The spinach antichoke dip was good but served with bread was burnt. We ordered the Tuscan Grilled Chicken and the French Pot roast. The first meal didnt have sufficient mash potatoes and the the second meal had uncooked carrots and stale beef meat. The replacement meal was the jambalaya. That replacement meal came out quick and wasn't up to standard either. So, we were willing pay for the two salads and the spinach artichoke dip. Everything else we wanted it off the bill. When we saw the bill she still ended up having us to pay for a full three course plus the appetizer. The supervisor also stood over us, saying that she saw the mash potatoes that was on the plate for the Tuscan Grilled Chicken, however, I don't think she saw it. She eventually told us to leave and never come back, even after we were willing to pay for what was good on the menu. Dont waste your time going here we recommend you go to Elk Grove Mimi's Cafe instead they are EXCELLENT.

Better than Black Bear Diner as far as service. Menu options are limited, but fancier.
