We love this neighborhood spot! Our kids love the crispy brussel sprouts and the rolls are delicious. The service is super friendly, if we are there without the kids we just sit at the bar. I'd really recommend giving it a try.

Finally had a chance to eat at Miyagi Bar and Sushi. It was spectacular, let me tell you about it! Dropped in around 7:30pm with my lady. We were quickly seated at a table. The decor consisted of colorful paintings and soft lighting. The restaurant was full of people, families and couples alike. We were seated near the sushi bar which was away from the alcohol bar which had a lively crowd. There were TV's all over the place which had the sports games on. There were plenty of waiters and waitresses who were attentive and really nice and showed us around the menu. We chose to start off with stuffed mushrooms and gyoza. While I've had better gyoza I won't lie and say we didn't finish it all, lol. The real highlight of our entire meal was the crab stuffed mushrooms. My lady said they tasted like heaven and she wasn't exaggerating! The crab was so tasty, the sauce that topped these had a small kick to it and added to the overall flavor without overpowering it. Each bite had a perfect crunch thanks to the breading followed by the soft fresh mushrooms. I can tell you now we will be back solely for these. The main course arrived some time after completing our appetizers. Food service here was a bit slowed but it was expected since the restaurant was nearly at capacity. The quality of the food kept us patient. We split the crunchy roll and also the katsu chicken dinner. Both were amazing and although we loved it we kept saying how silly it was we waited so long to finally try Miyagi given how long it's been around and how amazing all the dishes were lol. I absolutely loved the crunchiness of the panko breading on the juicy katsu chicken and the sauce paired really well with the meat. The broccoli tossed with the onions brought out a nice flavor we weren't used to considering broccoli is one of our favorite sides at home. The crunchy roll was huge! The fried shrimp was so tasty. I would order it again but I'm also excited to try more rolls such as the Drake and the Torch roll recommended to us by our waiter. The menu here is deep and diverse, I definitely see more visits in the future. They also mentioned they show all the Sacramento King's games on their TV's! I love that.

Came here on a weeknight for family dinner. Despite not being crowded, seating and table service was slow. Fortunately, we sat at the sushi bar, and the itamae was pleasant, quick, and attentive. Sushi was excellent. Cocktail was tasty.

Service was great! Very attentive! Food was okay as well. I got the trio hand rolls and I was dissatisfied with the sea scallop hand roll as the sea scallops had a very gross taste to it almost like it was sitting out for awhile. Other than that it was a great experience!

Where to even begin..the ambiance is welcoming, the sushi is unmatched and the service is next level. Shoutout to Stephen for making our experience an unforgettable one and one that'll definitely have us returning! His recommendations were great and he even blessed me with the best house made hot sauce I've ever had! I'm visiting family from LA with my fiancé and I can honestly say this is some of THE best sushi I've ever had - so fresh and the chef's craft was pure art. We'll definitely be coming back. Thank you so much, Stephen, for making this such a great experience!

The food experience here is next to none! My fiancée and I are from LA and we throughly love this sushi more than any sushi we've ever had in Los Angeles. Stephen, our server, tied the entire meal and experience together for us. We Already cannot wait to be back as soon as possible and will return before going home for the holidays! The chefs are absolute artists and the special spicy sauce is our new favorite sauce full stop. Thanks for making our night and trip that much more special for the holidays!

Cool place. My wife and I like sitting at the bar or in the bar area. It’s a bit more fun environment. Bartenders are great. The sushi is quite good. We started with the Gyoza which are really good. Love the BBQ tuna. We got three rolls, I don’t remember what they are called, but they were tasty. Always an enjoyable time and meal.

Located in Lyon Village. Went with a friend who wanted sushi. I don't like sushi so had the teriyaki chicken with rice a la' carte which is a smaller portion. Perfect size for me. We split a tempura shrimp.Parking: Parking in front. Could be difficult to find a spot depending on the time of day. Handicap parking available.

Food is delicious especially the tricky Nicky and spicy edamame. However every time I order to go they pack the bags terribly and sauce is always split everywhere making a terrible mess. They need to learn to pack to go orders better

Always good food. Choice of seating - small dining room, small bar, or outside. If the weather's good, choose outside. Unless you want to sit in the dining room and watch them make your food. I have one special friend I share a birthday with. Since we first discovered that . . . about fifteen years ago . . . we have shared our birthday dinner together at Miyagi. I have another small group of friends who all have this on their short list of places to go for sushi. Friendly staff. Good selection. A good bar. I love hamachi kama, and they always have it. So good, I tried the salmon kama and I'll be having that again. All around, great place to take friends or a date.
