Excellent selection of Japanese and other Asian foods especially Korean. Fish is very fresh and a lot of it comes from Sunh Fish. There is a good selection of mochi treats but they come from Osaka Ya on 10th downtown. Only thing I've found is produce is a bit hit or miss. There is a good variety of bento boxes.
Always well stock with great products. The fish market is so fresh! The bento selection is fantastic, but go early, they sellout fast!
Good sake collection
Great place for Japanese goods you may not find elsewhere
I would knife fight for their bento boxes.
This store is a found treasure. Has all the things you need or want to make an authentic Japanese meal. Only wish the sushi bar was open when we were there. But the seafood and meat department has all the good stuff. The staff is available to help you locate what you're looking for and will also make good suggestions for substitutions. Wish I lived in Sacramento so I could go there more often and not only when I'm visiting.
Great japanese and asian grocery store.
Wonderful fresh butcher. Fantastic bento lunches (warm while they last). Great fungi selection and fellow produce. Fun trinkets and snacks. Also, one of the only places I can find my fave jello sake shakers.
Good selections of Japanese and various Asian grocery items
Oto's Marketplace has an excellent selection of Asian foods. I was able to quickly find a variety of sauces that are difficult to locate in other grocery stores: fish sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame seed oil, and more. There are several options for packaged curry meals, including Golden Curry and Vermont Curry. There are lots of snacks available for purchase, too. The staff helped me locate the imitation crab in the fish section. There is a small arcade with crane games / UFO catchers near checkout.
Parking appears to be somewhat limited directly outside the store. Also, sushi is only available on certain days of the week--I would call ahead to see if they're offering it.

Great little market, includes fresh produce, meats, and seafood not usually available in the area.
Lots of Asian products that you won't find in regular grocery stores. Cheap prices for most items, I had to stop myself from wanting to grab more and filling up my shopping cart.
Best place to purchase sashimi
