Food review is for the bun cha I had. Disappointed that serving isn’t the same compared to prior years. Patty needs
more grilling and the sliced pork was tough and unevenly cut. Place has been renovated and looks clean. Friendly and helpful server.

Ordered online. It was easy. Food was fantastic. Always great, actually. Bun Rieu, chicken porridge with preserved egg, egg rolls. I hope the mom never leaves the kitchen. She’s the heart and soul of this joint.

Friendly service at this family run restaurant. All three dishes we got were delicious but our fish dish, unusual as it is stole the show. Everything was well prepared and fresh. I would definitely go back to try their other dishes.
Great service and atmosphere and I love their pho!

Easy to miss small corner restaurant serving up viet food. I've been driving by this place since moving to Sacramento. It doesn't look like much from outside, but oh my, it is great. Came yesterday for the first time now, finding myself sitting and waiting for my food a second day in a row. The inside is surprisingly nice, clean, and maybe recently remodeled. In Sacramento, you're always close to some great vietnamese food, and I am always on the lookout for the next best bowl of Bun Bo Hue. This place may have just been the best I've had. The broth was rich and complex, and the fresh herbs on the side were a little different than other places. The stainless steel bowl they serve in keeps it piping hot for the whole meal. The stand-out here was the noodles. I've just gotten used to the noodles just seeming like a filler ingredient alongside the typical Bun Bo ingredients. Not here. The noodles were firm, chewy, and had a bounce to them I hadn't experienced anywhere else. The egg rolls were great and the service friendly. Today, I had the beef stew noodle soup bo kho, I think, so I could take advantage of the lunch specials. It and the chicken wings were great. If i had to recommend one or the other, I would say get the Bun Bo Hue. This will be my new restaurant obsession for my favorite vietnamese food.

I tried the bun rieu and bun bo hue. The broth for bun rieu was a little too sweet for me. There wasn't a lot of meatballs either. I did enjoy the texture of the noodles though. For the bun bo hue the broth was good but I felt like it lacked something. Just don't know what. I did like the hint of spice. The amount of meat given was fair, but I had a lot of noodles leftover. The noodles were very bouncy and not overcooked. Overall I would come again and try other dishes. The server was very nice.

Restaurantji Recommends
Ordered the shredded pork noodles, they were great.
The brisket fries are a wonderful single person appetizer and very filling
And the jasmine milk tea scratched that itch for good milk tea, loved this place!

The worst pho I have ever had. They put pork, cilantro in the noodle soup. Does not taste like pho at all. Disappointed. Not recommend it for pho.

We each got a noodle bowl (pho) which was okay like the rest of the usual pho restaurants. Unfortunately my bowl had a smell/odor that wasn’t pleasant so I didn’t eat it. There was also a small green lint on my shrimp (it looked like the green part of a dish sponge) so that was another turn off. I didn’t eat my bowl but because the lady was so kind and friendly, I didn’t say anything and we just paid for our meal and left. Another thing—bring cash! Our visa debit wouldn’t work and she said it was something with her machine. Luckily we had some cash so we were able to pay.
