I ordered a large rare steak for $16.89 (taxes included). The food is normal, nothing special. However, a huge bad impression is that there's a duck or chicken feather on the basil leaves (see photos). So disgusting 😨...I didn't make a big deal and still finished my food but this is the first and last at Pho Bac Hoa Viet. Hopefully there's no side effects later on.

Came here cause my friend told me it was a good spot ….
I’m sure it is but I don’t think the server likes Americans .
We were very respectful and the waitress said 3 rude things that were very unneeded .
Last comment she came to the table and said to my niece who was wearing a pink shirt w long hair .. boy or girl? Then laughed .
I don’t know why that was needed after all she said was rude .
She rolled her eyes also when I said I wasn’t ready to order and walked away without saying anything.
Food was not that good either, I’ve had better pho and fresher ingredients at other places.

I ordered a pho to go and it had a cockroach in it. I ordered a Pho to take away and it had a cockroach. I don't recommend it. The hygiene is terrible.

Best place for flavorful Phô in Sacramento. Everything is delicious. I come here as a regular and it never disappoints. I also love that they stay open late. Highly recommend!!

I have been coming here for a few years and I swear whenever I order to go i always tell myself to check the bag before I leave...last night was the last straw. My order is always the same, #12, absolutely no bean sprouts, please add extra limes (8 slices) extra basil and 4 chili oils. Upon walking in (the 3rd time this has happened) I waited 15 minutes to give them time and they hadn't even "gotten" the order. So Kevin (he's sweet but can't follow directions) said he would get it out real quick. He brought me the bag and even went over the order instructions. He brought me the 4 chili oils but since he went over it I assumed he did things right. Nope...I got home and (I have photos) there was literally 1 sprig of basil, 2 handfuls of beansprouts, 2 slices of jalapeno and 1 lime. Literally didn't get anything right. I absolutely love the food but the service isn't great. The older auntie that works there is rude and I honestly think she hates me. Yelled at me the last time I dined in. One time she brought a plate full of limes and was like is that right? It was funny but still kind of rude. If you enjoy good food theyre great but keep in mind the service may not be great. CHECK YOUR TO GO ORDERS ALSO!

We traveled all the way to the south side of sacramento to experience this place for the first time. It caught our eye because of the much lower price compared to the spots close to our area. I will tell you everything was great. The pho was delicious, the crab wontons were fabulous and some of the best egg rolls I have ever eaten.

My family and I ate here last night and ordered the Pho noodles. Unfortunately, the tendons were extremely disappointing. They tasted old, had a strange, unpleasant flavor, and their brown color made them look unappetizing. It seemed like they may have been using old ingredients, which raises serious concerns about the restaurant’s practices. I was shocked by the quality and felt like they were cutting corners by serving such poor-quality food to customers. I will not be coming back, and I strongly believe this restaurant should be inspected by the authorities to ensure they meet proper food safety standards.”

The interior design is actually really nice and I like the vibe that the restaurant has. The dragon on the wall was cool looking (forgot to take a picture of) and the seating was fairly comfortable. I got the number #30 pho and it was solidly good. One thing however I do not like was that even though on the menu it did not mention pork in the ingredients, there was pork in it and my friend had to mention to the waiter. I do believe that there should be a mention of it in the ingredient section if you are going to mention them cause its misleading... Overall though the staff was nice the pho was pretty good and the whole experience was good.

The food was great. Light broth, decent serving of meat, with a conservative amount of noodles. When I asked for a smoothie the server told me the "machine is broken since Friday". (This was on a Wednesday. I then witnessed as SHE delivered 3 smoothies to other tables. I will not be returning and advise everyone else to find another spot. This ain't it...

I've been coming here for several years. They have amazing pho, and their food is generally good. However, they have rushed an order of mine before and left me food poisoned all night.

I love this place still, but they need to take their time with walk out orders, I don't mind sitting waiting.
