This is the best barbecue I've ever had. They started as a food truck and we originally tried them out a brewery that we were visiting. Everything was great, but I love the brisket, the pastrami, and the turkey. My wife loves the giant beef ribs. After that we began seeking them out and following them all over the Sacramento area. We live in Lodi, but the drive is always worth it.
I’ve been searching California for amazing BBQ since I left Texas. This place nails it. Their brisket is as good as the best places I’ve been to in Texas - and I didn’t have to wait in a 3hr line to get it. High quality meats, the same style of sloooooow smoking that they do at Franklin’s in Austin, and the owner is super friendly. If you love BBQ, you just found your new favorite spot.
All I can say is that we were throughly pleased with everything at Post Oak Barbecue. Everything on our plate was full of flavor! Who has ever said, “That coleslaw was bomb”? I did tonight, because it was. Great customer service, great food, and affordable. Make your way down, it will be worth it.
