I didn’t stay but the cafe looked very nice. If you’re looking for a great black coffee, their coffee is just ok, nothing to write home about. Maybe if they used a lighter roasted bean their coffee could be better.

Decent coffee shop with good coffee, comfortable seating and aesthetic, and helpful staff. California prices.. $4 for a double shot in a paper cup... But good coffee all the same. Indoor and outdoor seating is nice. Outside seating well shaded in the morning. Popular but not too busy to enjoy a quite sit or work.

Roots is a tough one to rate. The shop itself is small but has a really great vibe—lots of plants and a cozy feel. Staff is friendly and the menu is surprisingly large for the size of the place. The downside is parking. First time I tried to visit I couldn’t even find a spot and had to leave. You’ll likely have to park a little ways away and walk in. That said, I’m glad I went back because it’s definitely a nice spot if you’re already in the area. Probably wouldn’t make it a regular stop just because of the parking hassle, but worth checking out at least once.
