What drew me in was the smoker outside hinting at possibly an amazing BBQ meal. The brisket sandwich was quite disappointing and it did not come with any sides, those were extra. Hardly any brisket, mostly coleslaw, fried onions, and BBQ sauce for $20. Not worth it at all. The interior was fine, found it odd to have a large bar with no seats.

Wanted to try some place new today! We've walked by this place a ton of times, and today, we decided to give it a go! The restaurant is really cool and I enjoyed the ambiance of the history between the walls. BUT
our service was lacking. I think the guy working at the bar could have done a better job getting our order right. Maybe this little girl was just nervous, I'm not sure. I ordered the French dip with Au Jiu and seasoned fries. My husband ordered the Gold Rush burger also with seasoned fries, and he asked for pepper jack cheese on his burger.
I got a beer, and he got a coke. I received my beer but he never received his soda, after giving what I thought was a reasonable amount of time waiting for her to bring it, I called her over and politely asked her to please bring my husband the drink he ordered. She nervously smiled and went to get it. Ok, no big deal. Our food came, and it was lack luster, especially for the cost!!! His burger had cheddar cheese on it, and I didn't get any fries. WTH
My French dip was basic with just a little bit of dried out meat. I did call her out about the fries, which she quickly ran to go get for me. We ate what we could without complaining about anything else. And paid like $72 ....unfortunately we will not be eating here again. The man working at the bar (inside and outside) was the friendliest guy, tho. he gets 5 stars ?

My girlfriend had California burger with bacon and I had the California brisket sandwich. They were both outstanding. Ordered our fries and onion rings without salt there were no issues.
My girlfriend had the Bloody Mary and I had the blueberry drink. The Bloody Mary was bold and the blueberry drink didn’t disappoint.
I would definitely recommend the Brannan Manor as a must visit in old Sacramento.

Severely overpriced. A little sandwich is 20 bucks and it doesn't even come with fries

We went on a Sunday, not very busy around 5 so we were able to be seated right away. Ordered a Bloody Mary, pretty sure the bartender looked it up on her phone but it was still very good. Could’ve been slightly stronger in my opinion. I ordered the asada tacos and my partner ordered the Cali burger priced at 18.99 he gave it a 8/10. I give the tacos a 7/10 because they were somewhat greasy but overall tasted pretty good. The price though was more expensive than the burger at 21.99, which for tacos is kinda crazy. But still not bad!

Didn’t like the fact that Elexando Exiber )spelling) asked to keep my credit card inside because we were sitting outside. Seemed like a biased move!

My wife and I just left this place (Sunday, Septembet 1. 2024 about 2:15) because of the extremely rude manager. We were graciously meeted by the very nice hostess, sat down and as I walked up towards the bar and asked the very nice bartender about how spicy the bloody Mary was, the manager came up to me and rudely said "what do you want. You are not allowed to talk to the bar tender!" I was shocked! Extremely rude attitude! I have never been treated so poorly in my life!! I then sat down at the table with my wife and told her what just happened. My wife decided to leave. As we waked out the door the manager followed us out as if she was kicking us out!!!! Unbelievable! I was wearing a sling on my left arm because of surgery 2 weeks ago. Perhaps she does not like handicapped people, I don't know. This restaurant was on Bar Rescue a couple of years ago. I will make sure John Taffer knows about this! Sorry, John; this bar rescue was not worth your time.

Just wanted a good burger after my shift as a volunteer at the California State Railroad Museum, and of course, I thought of this great place! It's the best place for a good burger and brew in Old Sacramento!
