To emphasize what others have written: the staff is friendly; the ice cream is delicious; the prices are fair -- and the location is perfect for a post-Railroad Museum treat. Especially welcome on both a hot day and when not everyone is quite ready to get back into the car, post-museum. Much appreciated... and recommended.

We stopped in for an ice cream while seeing the Old Sacramento area and it was delish! Highly recommend butter pecan BTW. The young man who waited on us (didn't get his name) was very friendly.
Hot dogs, sodas and ice cream oh my! Sacramento is notorious for ungodly hot summers, and very few food items hit the spot when your profusely sweating from every pour on your body. Sams cafe was a delight to visit, and CorDons customer service and personality stood taller than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar tiptoeing on a stack of phone books. The polish dogs had my tastebuds dancing and singing with every bite. If you're ever in town, pay CorDon and Sams Cafe a visit. Deliciousness will ensue!

Everyone at our table was glad to be there. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. Mood here reminds me of Colorado Springs area.
