Absolutely love Senior Burrito. Been going to him for over 20 years. Miss working Downtown. Love to drive to get a burrito from him. He is the BEST.

My dad has been going to this man's cart for years and it never misses. He doesn't have the most extensive menu, but there's something about simple good food that feels familiar and brings comfort. He's talked to my dad a lot and his wife helps him prep the food in the morning and he hangs out for the lunch rush. $5 isn't a bad deal for a delicious burrito with handmade tortillas and supporting a very small business. I saw another reviewer say some ignorant things and assume the worst out of this man trying to make a living. I hope people grow from their ignorance :)

I just want to star here by saying; yes, I am a racist. I do not like the mexicans; plain and simple. That being said, even with my disdain for mexicans, this place just sucks a*** I ordered a senor burrito and it was filled to the brim with literal p*** beans. The beans were so bad that it maade me think it was p**** I vomited several times. Why did I continue eating it? This place is utter dog s*** and I hate the mexicans that run this joint. 1 star. Don't come here especially if you don't like mexicans.

Simple, pre-made burritos to-go. This food cart operates at the corner of 7th and I Streets. He opens around 11am and stays until he's sold out. Get there before noon if to increase the chances you'll get what you want. All burritos are $5. Includes chips and salsa. He may not be there on a particular day if it's windy or raining. Otherwise, this is my go-to spot.

Great value! $5 for a big burrito, chips and salsa! Highly recommend for anyone who's walking around in the downtown area or that works in the downtown area

The burritos are excellent! This guy has his tiny burrito stand set up on 7th and I St. He makes burritos of several kinds and wraps them up in waxed paper and tinfoil. When you buy them, he makes a tidy bundle of burrito, tortilla chips, salsa, and sauce into a double layer of paper bag to keep the food warm. He has a menu board propped up against the stand.( I noted that he has a veggie option for vegetarians.) I was downtown paying a bill, so I jumped at the opportunity to get one of the famous Señor Burrito $5 lunches. I got one each of the beef and bean and the pork and bean options. It was amazing to watch how quickly and tidily the man bundled up my order. Because parking is such a Rae thing around there at noon, I recommend taking the lightrail in to grab lunch downtown. This is but one of several cool options for downtown food experiences. Happy chowing!

I can understand the other reviewers giving the kindly old man who does everything himself a glowing review. And I empathize with his plight. As a vegetarian, there are only two veggie burritos on the menu. The Chile Relleno and some other miscellaneous veggie option. I got there around noon and he was all sold out of the Chile Relleno one so I got the regular veggie. I don't know when he expects to close up for the day, but at least keeping enough to go around until 3PM seems appropriate to me. If there are no breakfast burritos on the menu, then when does he pull up his cart? That 's what it is a street cart. Not a food truck, but a cart. The cart has the ability to let you wash your hands, but it seemed to be broken. I guess people lose enthusiasm. At $5, it should have represented a good value, but I don't think it did. I didn't taste any cheese, melted or raw. There was a lot of potato. Who knew that Mexicans were big potato eaters. Not too much beans or rice or any other things you would get at a Chipotle. No tofu or egg or breakfast burritos. The chips were really good and the quality of the tortilla was excellent. The salsa was too hot for American tastes. If they wanted to charge me $8 for a burrito with a little more oomph and get the hand washing thing fixed, I would consider it a good deal. Still, for chips, salsa and no tax or tip, $5 is a good price. He's been there for 20 years. I think he has just stopped trying and is just going through the motions. Sure, you get excited by authentic Mexican food because so much Mexican food isn't real, but this may not be the best implementation of that true Mexican food. Also, if he is doing everything himself, then his food lacks a woman's touch. That little bit of lime or lemon juice. That little bit of salt. These are the kinds of things women do better than men. I think women are just naturally better cooks than men. Also, he may be cutting corners on things like forms and taxes, which would set him off balance, psychologically. He is cash only, so we don't know what is going on. I didn't try any of his dead animal carcass burritos, but at $5, where is he getting meat that doesn't come from a diseased animal? Did any of the other reviewers think to ask him this question? Another reviewer commented that he skimps on the meat, but that says nothing about the quality. He needs to make a profit, right? I would say, go to Chipotle and spend a little more.

I had Senor Burritos YEARS ago. I remember being so excited when my mom would come home with burritos from him for my siblings and I. She used to work at the county jail, but after getting into a car accident and no longer being able to work, the days of her bringing home burritos ended. I never really knew where she had got them from. I now work in downtown and walked over to Kaiser, to see this little man on the corner selling burritos catty corner from the jail. I immediately called my mom asking her if this was the same burrito man that she would bring us burritos from and she said yes. I was ecstatic because I remember them being SO GOOD and boy I was not mistaken!! His burritos are BOMB. His salsas make them even better. He is the sweetest with exceptional customer service! For $5 you get a full burrito, chips, and salsa. You can't beat that!! Thank you Senor!

Good burritos fast. Sometimes your favorite will sell out early. Salsa is excellent. Chips aren't my favorite

This man's the mans! Best deal in town for a full belly for lunch, and those sauces are LEGIT. You get a burrito WITH chips and salsa, all for around $5.

After several failed attempts to find Mr. Seí±or after eating his burritos years ago, I luckily found myself on 7th and I street before noon today. I ordered a few burritos to go, each packed carefully and accompanied by free chips and salsa. The burritos were soooo good, just like I remember with their homemade tortillas, rice, beans, and filling (of your choice). My fav is the Chile relleno burrito. My only upset here was that I didn't ask for extra salsa as they are so flavorful! Mr. Seí±or is such a bright soul and definitely gleams his brightness onto others. Very kind and always happy, the smiles are contagious. I'm very glad he's been able to save this area for 2 decades and a half! P.s. for those of you looking to try a burrito, make sure to get their early as he will leave once he has sold out. From my experience, they sell out rather quick!

Senor Burrito is the best! Where else can you get a decent lunch downtown for $5? The burrito is way more than enough for me, but it also comes with chips, and you can add a drink and more salsa for a buck or two more. It's all homemade, and it shows. I've tried the veggie burrito and the chicken burrito with rice, both were fire. They really can use the extra salsa, though, so I'll have to remember to add it from now on. Make sure to get here early. The first time I found him, I got the last burrito, and it wasn't even noon yet. So he does run out fast. Seems like a really nice guy, and his burritos remind me of this mom and pop taqueria from my hometown near LA.

Senor burrito is a little cart out in downtown that serves up delicious and ridiculously cheap burritos. Only $5 and you get a tasty burrito with some chips and salsa. I had the beef and bean burrito which was a bit wet and messy to eat but had tons of flavor. Everything is already premade so don't expect any substitutions or custom orders. If you're working in the area I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a quick burrito to go.

Best Burrito in the Sac-Area. It doesn't get any more Authentic Sacramento than cruising on my hoverboard and eating a Senor Burrito while I listen to my favorite Death Grips song. My favorite place to "Kick it in the Sac".

Seí±or has some very high-quality burritos. His handmade tortillas set him apart from all the rest, they have a unique and delicious flavor. His beans are very rich and creamy and you can tell that they've been slow cooked for quite some time. He has excellent Carnitas and beef. All of his burritos are paired with a special gravy type salsa. Then he has a delicious garden salsa that he serves with his chips. At $4.50 a burrito plus tax it's an amazing bargain. I've had burritos three times that price so don't even come close. *cough* Vallejo's. If you happen to be in the area and you see his cart It's well worth the stop
