I only had plant based ramens here so I am not sure how others are but their plant based ramens weren’t so bad.

Shoki Ramen House is a Gem for Gluten-Free Dining!
I can't recommend Shoki Ramen House enough, especially if you have any dietary restrictions. The owners clearly put their heart and soul into creating a safe and delicious experience for everyone. My husband has a gluten allergy, and they were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. They have a dedicated gluten-free ramen option that's just as flavorful and satisfying as their regular ramen.
The gluten-free broth is rich and complex, the gluten-free noodles are perfectly cooked, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. Even without the traditional wheat-based noodles, my husband's ramen was bursting with umami and satisfaction. It's clear that they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in their craft.
But beyond the delicious food, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes Shoki Ramen House even more special. You can tell the owners genuinely care about their customers and want everyone to enjoy their ramen.
If you're looking for a gluten-free and truly delicious ramen experience, Shoki Ramen House is a must-try.

First-time experience, and this place did not disappoint. This is a family owned business, and its owner is super sweet! So knowledgeable about Their menu! The ramen was freshly prepared as ordered. The wait not long for me to recieve my order. Since I am gluten-free, there were plenty of options! Noodles, soups! Great selection! There is outside dining and inside as well. What I love was that the broth was so flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Definitely felt like a homemade! I will definitely be back.

I’ve tried hundreds of ramens all over the world. Theirs is different from nearly all I’ve had in the past. The chef makes masterpieces.

Hmm..I enjoyed the shoyu ramen but it wasn’t the best I’ve had. My boyfriend got the tan tan Godzilla but he wasn’t a fan of it. If you’re used to tonkotsu ramen I don’t think the tan tan ramen will be the best choice for you. It tastes very different from the traditional ramen.

got the tantan men, spicy with shirataki and additional chashu. it got messed up, they thought i said "shirataki mushroom", no worries, they fixed it for me. it was good nonetheless. not too heavy. perfect for lunch.
Unreliable business hours. Sign is not accurate. So call before you drive down there, but they may not answer the phone.
We became all the way from Placer County this place says that open they not open. disappointed
The sign is so confusing. Said they open from June 22, but there’s nobody here to open the door.

Please open for lunch even if it is only on the Thursday and Friday. State workers and the Diocese across the street will definitely go!

Very hearty bowl of ramen that was filling. I had the tan tan ramen with ground beef. It was very rich with fat but also a bit salty. Also ordered pork belly which was great, well fried and some spinach to help with the fat. The pork katsu was cooked sous vide then fried. Very very juicy and thick.

My heart and tummy are so happy. I have loved this place since I began eating at the 13th Street location about 5 years ago. I am glad they have reopened. I have tried other tan tan men, and nothing (NOTHING) compares. This made my week.

Excellent ramen that my family has been returning to for years. Order it Godzilla style for extra kick. For the best experience, arrive early, expect to wait, and appreciate the dedication that Shoki puts forward in running this restaurant. Many businesses promote themselves as mom-and-pop, authentic, or community oriented... This place is top tier in each category.
Parking: Anticipate walking down the block during peak hours. Arrive early for prime parking spots.
Kid-friendliness: Bring the whole family! Outdoor seating is easy for kids but older folks might find it uncomfortable, esp if sensitive to weather.
