DELICIOUS ramen!!!! i got the godzilla tan tan men. i believe it was kathy that helped me out at the counter when i ordered. i was originally going to go with the vegan tan tan men but she was so helpful when ordering and asked if was pescatarian. i am! and she said the broth was completely pescatarian, no meat, so i can get the regular tan tan men and just sub the beef for tofu katsu. it was absolutely delicious and im so glad i could try their broth. next time i’ll try the extra spicy one! they also have outdoor seating which was dog friendly and perfect for my dog and i. will definitely be coming here again.
one thing to note is there is no parking at the restaurant so be prepared to find street parking nearby

Took my wife here for our 9 year anniversary. We also went here for our first date. Even through changed locations nothing feels different to me. The ramen perfect for a cold day. I warn that it is a small place but its worth it. I recommend getting there early beacuse it gets busy. If you want a waiter to take care of you its not that type of place. With a small staff they do a great job helping so many people everyday eat awesome ramen. I would say if your adventurous try the lemon-lime koji ramen its so good but it does sell out. Get there early and give it a chance :)

Probably one of the best ramen bowls in Sacramento. Recommend getting the straight original shoyu bowl to get the true taste of the broth and ingredients. I got the Godzilla curry, and while delicious I couldn't taste the base flavors with all the garlic and curry. Tan tan men represents well. Would return!

Owners are so friendly! The veggie broth is really smooth, overall the ramen is delicious
Very nice neighborhood Ramen shop! They have a decent vegan menu with more traditional style options. My partner said the Godzilla tan tan men was the best shed ever had! Highly recommend!

The broth is fantastic. The other ingredients were fine/good. I was surprised to have cold mushrooms in my hot soup.
Perhaps it was hyped up to me too much, so I was expecting to be blown away. It was worth going to.

There are better places than this. The lack of service here, especially for the prices, left a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn’t return. It’s too bad for the ramen because it wasn’t bad, although not great either. The tan tan men wasn’t very spicy (1/5), only came with half an egg (really!?), and cold corn on the cob. Skimpy on the meat too.
As far as service, there was no service to speak of aside from the person who took my order at the counter. You have to grab your own napkins, spoons, and chop sticks. When your order is ready they won’t walk your food to you, and then when you’re finished eating you’re also expected to bus your own dishes. On top of all of this, when you order they have the audacity to ask for a tip before any “service” was given.

Shoki Ramen House is easily one of the best ramen spots I’ve been to in Sacramento. From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere set the stage for a comforting meal. The menu had so many options, including vegan and gluten-free choices, which impressed me right away. I went with their miso ramen, and it was incredible. The broth was rich and layered with flavor, the noodles had that perfect chewiness, and the toppings were fresh and generous. Every bite felt satisfying and balanced. I also tried the gyoza on the side, and they were some of the best I’ve had -crisp on the outside and juicy inside. The staff were friendly and quick, always checking in without being intrusive. What I appreciated most was the authenticity of the ramen - it didn’t feel Americanized, just real, comforting Japanese soul food. Sitting there with a steaming bowl on a cool Sacramento evening was the perfect experience. Shoki Ramen House is the kind of place that makes you want to come back regularly, and I definitely will.

So good. We had crispy pork belly, which was marinated in house made teriyaki sauce and sesame oil. Super crispy and flavorful, tender enough to bite in half.
For ramen I had Godzilla TanTan Men, which was everything I want out of ramen. Hot, spicy, umami, deeply flavored with lots going on depending on what ends up on my pair of chopsticks.
Small nitpicks: would love for the chashu pork to be a little more marinated, and for the boiled eggs to be traded for soft boiled marinated eggs. They can both be premade so it’s just slightly more work. Otherwise, top top marks.

I only had plant based ramens here so I am not sure how others are but their plant based ramens weren’t so bad.

Shoki Ramen House is a Gem for Gluten-Free Dining!
I can't recommend Shoki Ramen House enough, especially if you have any dietary restrictions. The owners clearly put their heart and soul into creating a safe and delicious experience for everyone. My husband has a gluten allergy, and they were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. They have a dedicated gluten-free ramen option that's just as flavorful and satisfying as their regular ramen.
The gluten-free broth is rich and complex, the gluten-free noodles are perfectly cooked, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. Even without the traditional wheat-based noodles, my husband's ramen was bursting with umami and satisfaction. It's clear that they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in their craft.
But beyond the delicious food, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes Shoki Ramen House even more special. You can tell the owners genuinely care about their customers and want everyone to enjoy their ramen.
If you're looking for a gluten-free and truly delicious ramen experience, Shoki Ramen House is a must-try.
