The owner is gracious and accommodating. The store is clean and smells good. Her hours are 5am to 1pm and there's a good cup of coffee available to go with your pastry. The shop is near the 80 on ramps, making it a great place to grab something for your commute.

I'm writing this review, even though I hate the fact that I have to get there early or they sell out of my favorites, because this place is the best and the people are very friendly. I don't know what they do to make their donuts better, but whatever it is, they're the best I've ever had. Flavor wise, it's just the same as any other good donut (for the simple ones). But the texture is softer, or flakier, or creamier, not overly sweet like many other places, all depending on what you get, but the are just a step above everywhere else - or a few steps above many. I've been spoiled having eaten donuts from here, to where I can't even enjoy a donut from somewhere else. The good thing is I eat less donuts people bring to work because they aren't from here. I brought in a dozen mixed to a work meeting 2 weeks ago and every one of the 9 people asked me where they came from. 2 of the people have already traveled 30 minutes on their day off to come here. Their variety is far superior, the quality is unmatched, the staff is excellent, prices are a tad higher than other stores, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for an occasional treat this place won't let you down.
I just wish they had an actual website, and one that you could place advanced orders from. I work at 8am and specifics are often sold out by then. I have to get there early & so it would be great if I could order online the day before. But maybe that business model would be too much. Who knows.

Blah experience and blah donuts. On par with Dunkin, which is not a compliment. I find the donuts are probably just from a cheap mix. They are too airy, and a tad dry. Just like anywhere else around town. The custard they use is sour, which I loathe, so you know it's not a homemade custard but some kind of mix that most donut shops these days use. The friendly woman at the counter said that there was a chocolate one with peanut butter in the middle. I didn't realize until a family member bit into it that it was literally just chunky peanut butter. I assumed she meant it was some sort of peanut butter filling that would be nice and sweet and soft, but my daughter said it was really salty.
I ordered a cup of coffee. It was 9 AM on the nose when I walked in, and she wasn't sure if they had enough coffee left to give me a cup. At 9 AM?? At a donut shop?? Really??! It was my first and last visit.

They make one batch of donuts in the morning and then don’t make any more. So when they sell out, you’re out of luck. So basically don’t even bother showing up unless you go right as they open. Their hours are useless

Super nice lady at the counter and hooked us up with 12 delicious donuts plus 1 extra for free!
The donuts are good. But the problem is that they only bake a certain amount of donuts in the morning, and then they don’t make any more. They sell until they run out for the day. So even though they close at 1, if you show up at 11, there isn’t much left, and by noon everything is gone.

My first time there.she was so so sweet and the donuts were so great I will be back.
This shop has become one of my favorite Donut spots! I come early for the freshly baked goodies and am always met with a new array of creations along with the childhood classics.
So far, my favorites are their signature Mochi donuts--particularly the Lemongrass and Chocolate Pistachio ones. (Very light, very delicate, and I ate 4 in one sitting)--and the Sweet Cream Filled Cronuts.
The service here is very welcoming as well. The owner is very kind and his morning baker always greets us enthusiastically.
If you've been wanting a good donut lately and find yourself in the area, this is the place to go to.
I visit sweet dozens regularly and I am always impressed. The quality is top notch, everything is super fresh. And they have a great variety of treats without overdoing it. The cake donuts are good. The yeast donuts are good. The croissants are good. The croissant donut hybrid snack is good, and totally novel to me. I had never tried anything like that before I started coming here. They do a croissant-donut with a crunch topping and it's fabulous. It combined so many things I like.
Having access to places like sweet dozens is part of why I like living in Sacramento area.
The shop is always super clean. Like gleaming. But they didn't make me feel badly when I tracked gross stuff in. They just grabbed a mop.
I've had their iced coffee a few times. If I'm drinking coffee I don't like very much I can usually put sugar in it until I tolerate it. For me, I like their coffee enough to drink without sugar.
I broke my new years resolution by chomping on these donuts. I had two of them, and let me e tell you they are damn good! They are filling because at 3:00 pm. Not even hungry, and I ate them at 9:00 am.
Friendly staff, great service, free parking.
Only knock is the donuts are kinda pricey, but I noticed even donut shops that sell basic donuts have raised prices. These are not your basic donuts. I guess they cost more because they use better ingredients. I get it
Won't go there every week, but I will visit a couple times a month. Great stuff!

The donuts were average. And they didn't have half of what they advertise.
