This taqueria is home to the smallest super burrito in the state of California. I first ate here in 2024. Since then, prices have went up and portion sizes/quality have went down.

I got two burritos and they were so bad. 💀 I took like 3 bites and just put it away. The meat tasted like it was about to go bad. It tasted nothing like birria. The food had no flavor. And the beans almost seem like they're canned... how would I know, not like I work at a bean factory but these beans straight up tasted like they were canned. It was super disappointing. Maybe burritos are not their high value item like the tacos? I'm not sure. Overall meh.

I’ve been here a few times before today. Not only was it Taco Tuesday, but it was also Cinco de Mayo! They’re usually a full crowd when I go there any other day, but this day they were overly crowded. They had a great deals on their margaritas and tacos. I got my whole meal for under $15 which was great. The employees there were very nice and welcoming. They made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely be back. 🫶🏾💕

This restaurant is small compared to the Nueva Vallarta location. It gets busy here so if you tend to get claustrophobic, it'd be best to go when it is not so packed. I went last weekend to try the Gobernador Tacos. I ordered the shrimp ones. I was not expecting them to be so big. I ordered 3 with a side of rice and beans and by the time I was done, I felt very full. I was disappointed in how the beans and rice looked. The beans looked like orange canned beans and the rice wasn't orange like I was expecting it to be (the restaurant is advertised as serving authentic Mexican food, so I was expecting brown pinto beans and orange rice). Fortunately, they tasted better than they looked. I had an horchata to go with it. It was satisfying. Not too sweet and it tasted authentic. The food was pricey but it was served very quickly and it was good. The staff here is nice. They were kind to me and attended me quickly. I recommend this place.

We've now had the same issue twice. The first time, we picked up our order in person and didn't realize until we came home that the ceviche was missing.

We decided to give them another chance and ordered again, this time through DoorDash, and once again, the ceviche was missing. When we called the restaurant, instead of trying to help, they argued with us and blamed DoorDash. DoorDash confirmed they only picked up one bag and even mentioned they've had issues with this restaurant before. The restaurant insisted there were two bags, which clearly wasn't the case.

Thankfully, DoorDash refunded us, but the experience was frustrating and disappointing. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service is what really stood out. We won't be ordering from here again.

Holy crap, street tacos were amazing. Has a self serve sauce bar with Mild to Hot salsas and sauces. Food was delicious. Restaurant was packed and kept the people moving to get everyone in and fed. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Was charged $16 for 1/3 of hominy ONLY. Every time I go I am charged different prices for “caldo de menudo”. They tried to tell me I ordered it wrong which I literally said only want caldo de menudo with hominy only no meat and said the price they charged me last time. It’s always new employees and based off other reviews it’s common they charge whatever the want for their food. Highly disappointing!

One of the best taquerias in Sacramento. I usually get a carne asada plate or fajitas but had most things in the menu and everything is delicious. Service is always fast and kind. Salsa bar is exquisite. All their locations are great, but this one is the best because the have grilled onions and jalapeños at the salsa bar 🔥🔥🔥

My new favorite Mexican spot.
this place completely blew me away. From the moment I walked in, everything felt right. The atmosphere is vibrant but still comfortable, and the restaurant itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, which immediately sets it apart.
The food? Absolutely incredible. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful.
The portions are very generous, you definitely get your money’s worth, and then some. Every bite had bold, authentic flavor, and nothing felt rushed or low quality.
The salsa bar deserves its own mention, it had everything you could want, from classic options to more unique flavors. But what really stood out were the fried jalapeños and onions… those alone are worth coming back for. Seriously addictive.
It’s rare to find a place that nails everything, food quality, portion size, cleanliness, and atmosphere, but this place does it effortlessly. Easily a 10/10. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again.
