My husband has went in there on multiple occasions and every time they are extremely rude and disregard him acting like they are closed and looking at each other every time he walks in. The cake is AMAZING but it's a shame that they are rude and not kind business owners and for that reason I will no longer be supporting this black owned business.

I am was trying to use this bakery but the prices are unaffordable. Three hundred dollars for 20 cupcakes (specialized) I do not think so!! I am not cheap frugal etc. but there is a limit.This is a follow up response to the owner's response. You did say 24 cupcakes when I called and inquired about your prices. Still $300 for 24 is pricey to me, I did shop around and found a nice bakery that is reasonable.

The cake was beautiful and they showed up to set up the stands on time. However, the edges of the cake were a little hard, I’m not sure if it was made the same day. Plus we had the wrong frosting, we asked for cream cheese frosting with the red velvet cake and we got buttercream. She explained that the cream cheese couldn’t hold so it needed to be mixed with buttercream. That mix together over powered the cream cheese flavor we only tasted the buttercream. It would’ve been nice to have been aware of the changes ahead of time so we could’ve tried to come up with a solution together, because we were really looking forward to that deep red velvet cream cheese flavor type of cake and we didn’t get that satisfied taste.

I wanted to support my local bakery especially it being black owned. I shoulda wrote this review soooo long ago but anyways ugh I was so disappointed in the design! It was so sloppy! I offered to buy the cake for my friends baby shower and I was so embarrassed to bring the cake to the party! I wish I had a photo but it was bad I didn't even take any photos

My initial plan for my husband's birthday cake fell through, and I was in search of a backup at the last moment (3 days). I found and contacted the Cake Depot to inquire about availability. Though she had an event that same day at noon, Kathleen told me she could do it. I described what I wanted, and sent some pictures that were similar, but not quite what I was thinking. She took what I said and sent me some pics from which to choose. I took 2 and combined them, and she created just what I'd envisioned! I thought the cake was reasonably priced, and EVERYONE at the celebration LOVED the cakes (red velvet & a white cake with strawberry filling); each layer was different. Absolutely wonderful job and easy to work with! Thank you SO much, Kathleen! I've locked her in for future needs.

She made a breath-taking custom cake of Thomas the Train and was very accommodating and flexible around the pick up time. I am very grateful to her for making my son's birthday dream come true. Don’t ever waste your time or money here. I know from dealing with them for two years horrible customer service . The daughter over charges not organized. They also sale old cakes thats been refrigerated for weeks and will tell you after you have placed a order that they made your cake completely different and if she cant make it she is booked. There are way to many awesome Bakers in Sacramento. You will thank me later!

The owner of the place, Kathy is also very customer friendly, kind and very professional.
