First time we have eaten brunch at the Delta King. I would have liked some smaller plate options but otherwise the food was good, except that the potatoes were not very hot. Service was excellent.
We came for the 2026 Dine Downtown event. The Pilothouse is a restaurant on the historic steamship, the Delta King, moored in Old Sacramento. It was fascinating to see all the brassworks and woodworks on the ship. On to the meal! It was fabulous! We started with Pesto croquets which had a perfect crunch on the outside, creamy texture inside, and a nice kick from the pesto sauce. The main entree was Beef Bourginon with tender short ribs a on top of creamy mashed potatoes- heavenly!...
This dine downtown experience was one of the most wonderful experience I've had the food was absolutely the magnificent. The appetizer was delicious! The short ribs just fell apart. That lemon bar was superb! The staff was impeccable, great service!
