The Shop Midtown is a great little bar in East Sacramento with a relaxed lounge vibe. It offers a perfect combination of chill and entertaining, with sports and cute cartoon videos on the TVs, games to play, and sometimes a DJ playing hip-hop classics that gets everyone dancing. The atmosphere is cozy and provides a great and positive vibe, making it a great spot for after-work drinks, meeting friends, or an easy dinner.
The menu is solid with lots of American staples and food options. Favorites include smash burgers, wings, tenders, and the CHIMICHURRI STEAK SANDWICH, with steak cooked a perfect med-rare. The hot rod burger is highly recommended, and the CARRERA QUESADILLA, winter special tomato soup with grilled cheese, and pizookie-inspired dessert are all beyond delicious. Portions are generous and gorgeously plated. Many sauces, like the hot wing sauce and ranch, are made in house. The bar serves cocktails like the LYCHEE MARTINI and offers alternative non-alcoholic drinks.
The service is great with gracious bartenders and staff who sincerely want you to have a great time. The owners are supportive of the area and value customer feedback, helping to build regulars. Its location is super convenient and close to everything.
