If you're looking for a hidden gem in Napa, you must visit Macauley Vineyard and experience their tasting room. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was Holly - the amazing greeter and our wine guide extraordinaire. From the moment we arrived, Holly made us feel at home and welcomed with open arms. She expertly curated a tasting experience that was both informative and entertaining. She was flexible, accommodating, and had an exceptional understanding of the wines on offer, which really added to our overall enjoyment.Holly's passion for wine, as well as her depth of knowledge, made the tasting experience one of the best we've ever had. We ended up spending a little bit of money on some truly fantastic wines and have absolutely zero regrets.Overall, we can't speak highly enough of Holly and Macauley Vineyard. If you're looking for a wine tasting experience that's both informative and delightful, make sure you book a visit - and make sure Holly's your host!

A secret little gem in the Heart of Saint Helena. The minute you enter the door you know you have discovered a treasure. The Wines are exquisite. I highly recommend The Reserve Cabernet and the Stagecoach Cabernet, that being said all the wines are delicious. J.B. Havens born and raised in Saint Helena is knowledgeable, gracious and personable. If you want a truly magical experience in tastings, I cannot recommend Macauley enough!

Awesome wines. The To Kalon cab was a highlight of a deep lineup. J.P. took great care of us. He was knowledgeable, but unassuming. Note that there is little signage, so follow the signs to Hunnicutt.

We just came back from New Zealand where visited a bunch of wineries. We got a good collection of Pinot Nour from the original lands. What was a surprise when someone from NZ recommended us to visit a Macauley in California. So far we did it. And I can tell 2015 is one of the best we've ever tried.

One of the best kept secrets in the valley. Should be on the top of your list for a tasting. Macauley brings it in a big way when it comes to wine

A fantastic boutique winery with an impressive line-up of worthy Napa Valley wines. Their To Kalon cab is a must for all serious wine enthusiasts. Make a point to book a tasting with them. You will not be disappointed.

I recently became acquainted with Mac Watson , Proprietor of Macauley Vineyard . Was sitting in a cool bar at the Top Steakhouse in Columbus Ohio. Although Ive never been to Napa , Mac gave me an overview of their operation and offerings. I ordered 6 bottles that Hailey shipped me in dry ice so it wouldnt be compromised. The old vine zin was fantastic and a huge hit at our reception. Im looking forward to visiting their vineyard in person! Many thanks to Mac and Hailey.

Hailey was the perfect hostess. The wine is some of the best we've ever had. If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would!!

Excellent wine! Do yourself a favor and stop in for a tasting! Hailey is very knowledgeable about all the wines and answered any questions we had! We can not wait to go back!

My wife and I visit Napa Valley every year for vacation (this was our 13th trip to the valley). Normally, we purchase 4-5 cases of wine when we visit - some of this for ourselves and some of this for Christmas presents (this trip we purchased four cases). We wanted to do something different this trip which was to visit only smaller wineries that we had never visited. We came across a local winemaker while having a drink at Hurley's (didn't get his name) who happened to mention that we should try Macauley, which we did. This visit/tasting was THE WORST EXPERIENCE that we had ever had while visiting the valley. Our host was Haley. She started to pour us two tastings, one for me and one for my wife. My wife stated that we would share one tasting because she was driving. Haley said to my wife, "I'll pour you both a glass and you can just smell. I'll end up pouring it down the drain anyway". So, we had the tasting (we ended up dumping much of the wine she poured as we didn't want two tastings). We tasted a Chard and a couple Cabs that were all average in our opinion, their Zin was good in our opinion - however we felt that none of the wine was good enough for us to purchase. The view was nice, the tasting room was nice, they did not offer any snacks to pair with the wine. When the tasting was complete, I told Haley that we would pay for the tasting. Haley stated that each tasting was $45 so the total would be $90. We reminded her that we only ordered one tasting. She stated that since she poured two that we needed to pay for two. She then told us that if we purchased at least three bottles of wine that she would waive the fees. I did not feel like fighting with her as our vacation was so perfect up to this point so we purchased three bottles of Zin for $35 each. We walked out of Macauley feeling completely scammed and with three bottles of wine that we didn't want. If you are planning to visit this winery, please make sure that you completely understand the parameters of the visit before you visit and before you taste. There are so many great tasting experiences/wineries/wines in Napa - in our opinion, this is NOT one of them. I would not recommend this to anyone and I hope that somehow the winemaker that recommended this winery to us somehow gets a chance to read this review...
