This place was excellent! our host for the day was Johnny and he really made the experience even better! So passionate and knowlegdeable on the subject. The biggest wine aficionado in our group loves to ask questions and tells us he sometimes ask the same questions at different places and theres a few he never gets an answer for like "How do they keep mice and other bird from eating the crops?" Well, not Johnny, he answered every single question with a smile. Excenllent wine and excenllent service!

We visited the Merryvale winery in September and the tasting itself was a pleasant experience. The experience was part of a fundraising package we bid on at a charity event. Monique our wine educator was great. We enjoyed one of the wines so much that we purchased it ($265 - NOT cheap) along with a magnum of rose. Here is where the experience went sour grapes. The shipping has been delayed with no resolution in sight. I have been told by the wine club manager that it is stuck with FedEx and he’s “keeping his eye on it.” I am certain by the time the wine arrives it will have been sitting in heat for several days.We have never spent that much on a bottle of wine and I regret ordering from this vineyard because of their dismissive response to numerous inquiries. So if you visit, enjoy the experience and take the wine with you but DON’T order direct.

Merryvale was one of the top highlights of our trip this year. It was pretty hot outside so their indoor space was the perfect place to sit and get out of the heat.
Our host Chris was incredible. Very knowledgeable while also giving us space to enjoy our time together. The wines themselves were some of the best we had all trip. I'm not a white wine drinker but their Chardonnay was bright and refreshing. I love that their reds had so much variety and each one was unique.
If you're coming to Napa, put Merryvale at the top of the list to come visit and ask for Chris.
