Paloma is an amazing vineyard that I just discovered looking for places to go on a wine route in Spring Mountain. I am so glad we came across it, I would never have thought I have a new love for Merlot! Their Merlot definitely set the bar high for me! Oh, and thank you for the beautiful hummingbird experience! I now own a hummingbird bird feeder thanks to Paloma!

Love the wine and now love the place having visited for the first time. Live on the East Coast and we first tasted Paloma in Virginia Beach at a restaurant called Zoe’s. Instantly hooked on their wine we became members. And a trip brought us West and we made sure to visit while in town. Sheldon and Laura were amazing hosts who fully educated us as we tasted world class wine. As a fellow small business owner I fully appreciate what Sheldon has built and hope he and his son Caston (3rd generation winemaker) and Laura and other team members there can continue to do something special in Napa for decades to come.

These are the kind of wineries people should visit. Small, family owned. Sheldon sit with us for an hour and half chatting about all things wine and life. Wonderful experience…and rhe wine is pretty good tooo! We had reds only..not saying there isn’t whites but we just had red which is what we like anyway.

Best tasting experience I’ve had yet

Outstanding tasting experience once again at Paloma! This is a gorgeous property on top of Spring Mountain with beautiful Napa Valley views. It’s also home to one of the best California Merlots at one of best prices (their Cabs are not bad either!). While Sheldon was out of town for this, our second visit, Laura took good care of us, providing a delightful and informative tour of the barrel room. The many hummingbirds and two wine dogs (very friendly Golden Retrievers) just added to a perfect “small but stellar winery” visit. Highly recommended!

Wonderful family operated vineyard, winery - treating its fruit and friends with great courtesy and hospitality - the hummingbird spectacle an added plus...and the Merlot and Cabs are wonderful.

Will your GPS find this place? Who cares you’re a napa, just grab an uber and enjoy. This spot serves up big bodied Merlot wines. This is probably the best view I have seen in Napa. You enter through the winemaker’s home and you sit on the balcony overlooking the vineyards. Truly spectacular. Sheldon, the owner and winemaker, is Napa‘s unofficial historian. He knew everything. We very much enjoyed the hummingbird feeders and the two wonderful pups. The hummingbirds were so active. I believe Sheldon said he goes through 10 pounds of sugar a day to feed them. Wow! This place is definitely an experience and I definitely recommend it!

Paloma Winery is truly a hidden gem at the top of Spring Mountain. The drive up is long and winding, but absolutely worth it once you arrive. The tasting is hosted on the back deck of winemaker Sheldon’s home, where you’re greeted with the most breathtaking views.

Laura guided us through a vertical tasting of their Merlot, along with some Cabernet, and her knowledge and passion made the experience even more special. The setting feels authentic and welcoming...this is what wine tasting is meant to be.

One of the highlights was the abundance of hummingbirds that nest in the nearby trees. Sheldon has several feeders around the property, ensuring they’re well taken care of, which adds a magical charm to the experience. We also had the pleasure of meeting Franc and Mita, the friendly winery dogs who made us feel right at home.

The property itself features some unique and interesting art, adding to the character and charm of the visit. Sheldon’s warmth, knowledge, and hospitality made this one of the most memorable tastings we’ve had. Paloma Winery is a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly authentic Napa Valley experience.
