“I thought that the store was one of those run down stores, but was really delighted to try it out! $2.50 for a jelly-filled donut, which is the highest price of any single donut, was really worth it for my tight budget, even as a brief trip! If you need a quick and cheap breakfast, a drink and donut for around $5.00 is what to expect here! If someone of this store notices though, I could also prep up a new graphic icon for Salida Donuts! The Door Dash Driver delivered your order to me and then came back to my house 8 mins later and asked for the food, because he realized he delivered to the wrong house. No I didn't open the containers, but I did put the ice cream in the freezer immediately cause I didn't know what to do with this. He did get the items back, not sure if you even got the order either; cause I never got my actual order. The young lady who helped us was incredibly friendly, answered all of our questions, and truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

“I ordered the rolled fried potato tacos, refried beans and tortilla chips. The taquitos were so good. The amount of food was awesome. Just really good comfort food. Reminds me of the mashed potato tacos I make for my kids at home. They were cooked perfectly, beans were awesome. You may be a little spot on H street, but your food is amazing. I had the chicken salad on fresh-made cranberry walnut sourdough with an iced vanilla coffee, and my daughter had a grilled cheese with brie and Havarti plus a lemon turmeric sourdough. Everything was fresh and so tasty. They also offer wine, mimosas, and beer, which makes it an even more fun little café spot to enjoy. So excited to have MATKAT Café here in Oakdale. Definitely worth stopping by!“

“I really enjoy the coffee, I am always up for trying local coffee shops. I live near by and ride my bike for my morning coffee on the weekends. I like trying different kinds of iced drinks. We are always greeted kindly. This coffee place is definitely a hole in the wall kind of place because you wouldn't expect there would be a coffee spot in this location. There is a nice set up with some comfy chairs and coffee tables to hang out. I enjoy my time here :)“

“Cute little shop.It was empty I didn't even know they were open. The sign was off but they were open. They had good a selection and good prices. The only thing was everything was day old. The lady said everything for today was baked yesterday. That's always a big disappointment if I can't get fresh warm bread from a bakery. I got a chocolate croissant hoping it'd still be soft from yesterday, sadly it was not. The Bavarian bun was ok but didn't taste fresh. I popped it in the air fryer and it was really good. I bet they taste amazing fresh out of the oven. Really good price for those buns. Might go back for those.“

“Coming from Manteca we don't have a place like this. Bagels are fresh, they also have fresh squeezed orange juice, some pastry selections, and fresh cut fruit. Been here 3 times. It's very busy weekend mornings. The space is small and they have about 3 small outside. You can also order ahead which I imagine is convenient for locals.“

“After being turned away from the place I normally order my cakes I had 1.5 days to find a place who would put my plastic animals on my cake. I think most bakeries now days will only make a cake in their book. I was so relieved to find a friendly bakery who wanted to make my cake. I ordered a camping in the mountains theme cake and brought in some plastic woodland animals, trees, and camping lanterns, etc. This cake was better than any images I found on the internet. The sides of the cake had mountain ranges with grass and trees. I was so happy I took lots of pictures of it in front of a backdrop I bought for my kids party. The cake also tasted great, not too sweet. So moist and yummy.“

Maria is the real MVP here. Her attitude is always on point — super friendly, positive, and she genuinely goes above and beyond for customers. She makes the whole experience better just by being herself, and you can tell she enjoys what she does. Bonus points for the great energy and good vibes she brings to the shop.
