The first time for everything, the drink I had was very delicious and natural. I highly recommend ?. I do not know what I ordered I had the server surprise me. The service was great she had a wonderful smile, and great conversation she explained how the drink was made and what ingredients she used to make the perfect natural goldleaf tea. Thank you ?. 10 out 10

the absolute best most thoughtful & inventive tea menu i’ve ever seen ! the staff is so passionate & knowledgeable about their teas - they even offered to blend a custom drink for me since i was between two different flavors. such a sweet place, wish they were open in the evenings at least on the weekends, would be such a cozy place to read a book or study!

Love this place. Great vibe. Nice and quiet but not like a library or anything. Space to work in the back and gorgeous front window bar seating.Tons of loose leaf teas available and big menu explaining all the sourcing of teas and about them — and an actual menu of blended drinks you can pick from. And open to any customizations.I wish they were open longer hours, this would be phenomenal weekend nights.

"Enter as Strangers - Leave as Friends"I work right above Gold Leaf so I know it well. The staff is nice and the teas are fantastic. There is ample seating along the beautiful stone bar. It's definitely a place to check out for tea. My favorite is iced red rooibos.

This place is just awesome. Large selection of teas, with a nice descriptive menu to help you find tons of gems. The tea-risitas ? are great, friendly, and help suggest nice drinks based on a few simple questions. The shop wall is filled with storage containers giving it legit bar vibes.A few tables nearby to work if you’re not a bar person, but the stools and main area are nice enough to make time fly while sipping. If you need a switch up from coffee, give this place a try.

The teas here are always good. This is Princess Peach, flavor is not strong more of a light fruity taste but really good with 7 pumps of honey if you want it sweet but not overly sweet ?

I've been coming to Gold Leaf Spice & Teas for years and I feel that they have more than earned a review. I come here at least 1 or 2 times a week not only due to the fact that they make the best tea out of any place I've ever been to but because I have not once had a bad experience with the staff out of the at least 100 times I've stopped by. It's the consistency in tea taste and friendliness of the staff that keeps me coming back. I have and will continue to recommend this place to anyone who has the desire to find a great tea spot, just be warned: you won't want to go anywhere else after trying a few teas here.

If you're a tea lover and are looking for a place that really understands tea--and has an enormous collection of teas--you must check out Gold Leaf. Also the servers really know their stuff about all the teas available.

My husband and I decided to get breakfast at First Awakenings down the road from this little shop and since the wait for a table was going to take at least 1/2 hour, we decided to grab some iced tea to sip during our wait. When you first walk into the shop, it's a little bit surprising because you're met with a long bar like in an old-time saloon. I think it adds to the charm of the place! You can sit on the stools and watch as they make your tea, then enjoy it at the bar or take it with you to enjoy as you explore downtown Salinas. On the wall opposite the bar are some shelves with a few pre-packaged items you can take, and to the right as you enter the building, there's a bookcase filled with items. I didn't take a really good look at them, as I was more interested in the teas and deciding what I was going to try. I do know they offer a really interesting tea maker for loose leaf teas that dispenses your tea through the bottom of the container. It's rather fascinating. It's the same one they use to prepare your glass of freshly made tea. I choose a tea called the Jolly Rancher. I don't remember all the flavors in the tea but it was mixed with lemonade and I added honey to sweeten it slightly. On first sip, yep, it tastes EXACTLY like a Jolly Rancher hard candy! I should have mixed it a bit more than they did for me, as the flavor changed as I drank it and it wasn't quite as tangy, but it was still really good. I'll definitely return to try more of the teas.

There Matcha is to die for. If you want to slow down a little bit and savor some ambience go into this little place. The bar is fantastic and the people behind the counter really know their stuff. Everything I've gotten here is been good. And they hand whisk the machcha!
