i forgot the guys name but he was super nice i let him know it was my first time here and he explained it he could tell i was a little confused so he let me try both their gelato and ice cream then let me know their famous for putting them together, so awesome customer service and good ice cream i recommend it and if it's your first time let them know! they can explain what's what
I never had Italian shaved ice or custard before but I was pleasantly surprised! I will definitely come here again if I'm in the area. I got the mango shaved ice with vanilla frozen custard and my boyfriend told me to mix it all together. It then tasted like an orange creamsicle but instead of orange -- a mango creamsicle. I wish I had discovered Rita's years ago! Our household doesn't buy regular ice cream anymore; we just buy a couple pints of the frozen custard and some quarts of the icee/slushy items. Our go-to custards are vanilla, mint, and mango. For the slushies, can't go wrong with a blue raspberry. This last visit I tried the watermelon slushies and was delightfully surprised to find chunks of actual watermelon in it.
