Toro Place Cafe Reviews
Breakfast. Out of town visitor with(local) friend. Food was “meh”(soggy hash browns). Waitress had few words for me(grey haired woman), but smiling and chatty with younger male friend. Considering it was tiny, crowded, noisy, unfriendly(apparently exception is all smiles for regulars), terrible and tricky “parking lot”….. simple (!) breakfast for 2 was $51….My first and last time to stop at this place.
The owner and staff hold an annual Christmas Toy Drive to serve children with parents living with HIV/AIDS and/or HepC. Plus, you can't find better food, more friendly staff, or a really cool venue.

Toro Place Cafe, a popular breakfast and lunch spot, offers delicious, down-home food in a simple setting. The cafe, established in 1956 and located in a historic gas station, serves mouthwatering dishes like huevos rancheros with chile verde and chicken fried steak with homemade gravy. The friendly and efficient staff provide excellent service, and the outdoor patio is a perfect spot to enjoy your meal. Known for their tasty cheeseburgers and must-try fries, this American wilderness restaurant is a great place to relax and indulge in some comfort food. The restaurant is known for its great tasting, home-style, comforting meals that can be enjoyed either outside on the covered patio or inside. While the parking can be tricky, especially when there are events at Toro Park, the restaurant offers a casual, comfortable atmosphere and a discount for those paying with cash. The staff is fantastic, and the food is highly recommended for a satisfying dining experience.
