Wow. Came here for a first date and they made it a very pleasant evening for my date and I. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was peaceful with a romantic vibe, and the food was amazing. Villa Azteca is a must for dining in Salinas. Community is built around food at lunch and romance is celebrated at dinner. Exquisite cuisine, lovingly prepared and presented with pride. I get to travel to Salinas 3-4 times per year so every visit is, for me, a special occasion. I feel at home here. An excellent restaurant staffed by wonderful people.

This place was recommended by a couple of my Mexican friends. We arrived a few minutes early only to find a waiting line to get in.

Once seated, we were brought some homemade salsa and chips. When trying a new Mexican restaurant - I always try their Chili Relleno. It was great. Not your normal breaded chili with salsa - but a roasted chili in a butternut cream sauce with pumpkin seeds. They also stuffed it with chicken.
