I went to pickup bagels when they opened this morning. Thought it was 6am, but it was 2 minutes till. When the little gentleman came to open the door. He proceeded to berate about how they don't open until 6. Said something about me banging on the door. All I did was try the handle.
I expected better. The staff has always been extremely pleasant. I don't know if I'll go back.

I’ve been coming here since I could walk so pretty much 31 years and I still stop here to stock up on bagels when I’m in the area. The person who gave a 2 star review doesn’t know what they’re talking about - but haters gonna hate, which means more delicious 100/10 star bagels for me - yay! Personal fave: their cranberry bagel. Would never buy this flavor anywhere else, but something about it hits different. Love you Barton’s!

What’s all the hype from this place, anyway I stop by due to business trip and what a disappointment. I ask for everything bagel and the counter guy seem he didn’t understand English or lack of help and told me yes however when I got back to my car and started to eat there were not everything bagel, it’s different kinds of seeds? Like “WTF” also the cream cheese is like barely anything on it?? If you are locals and say this place is great will you definitely have no clue what’s an excellent bagel is. Luckily it’s a business trip and yes I won’t be coming back anytime soon lol

As New York style bagels go, Bartons is just okay. They're better known for their bagel sandwiches than for their spreads, which are non-existent other than hummus and cream cheese. San Anselmo is a lovely town, and there are plenty of places to sit outside in a nice atmosphere.
Parking: There are public parking lots down the street, though they're often crowded. Street parking is available, same problem.

Five star bagels. I love flavor.
Parking: Behind the bagel shop.
Good bagels and selection. Bagels are on the small side which I like. And the price is right, which is a breath of fresh air these days. My only complaint is the staff. The last couple of times I’ve been there (in a period of a few months), they hardly say a word to you, seem completely disinterested in the customer and annoyed if you ask if they have something that they don’t.

The bagels were good and they had a good selection along with lots of different cream cheese options (both salty and sweet), however the staff was really pushy and rude when we were explaining what we wanted. When we went to pay, the guy didn’t even say a word, he just said the price and I handed him the card and he gave me the card back, and didn’t say anything else.

Very stingy with cream cheese, even if you ask for extra! Bagels are good.
Bagels are fine itself but egg was trash! I asked for American cheese and the guy kept asking me Swiss or Cheddar and looked visibly upset when I asked just once if he has American cheese. Trash customer service

They have Everything bagels! They are just called Seedy
I’m no bagel expert but, when I want a good bagel, I go here.
Love this place!
High Quality Bagels and more. Definitely a place you will enjoy and return to. The bagels have a fresh soft taste and texture and are quite different in my opinion, in a good way. Keep it up, thanks.
