I was expecting Michelin magic and for most of the meal it delivered. The ribeye was on point, and the panna cotta was unreal. One or two didn't wow me but overall, still a place I recommend if you're wanting something special in Marin
I’m no youngster and have eaten in a lot of restaurants in a lot of cities and countries, and this is the best meal we have had in my entire life. We chose the eight course meal, with a bottle of champagne. We were asked if we wanted to include a special entrée for an additional charge, but I’m really glad we didn’t as the eight courses were more than enough for us. Had an incredible time at Madcap! Enjoyed every course on the tasting menu. A few standouts: the Jidori egg with pistachio was so tasty, the dry-aged Flannery steak was insanely good, and the apricot cake with basil ice cream was the perfect way to end. Definitely coming back and already looking forward to the next menu.
