I got the tacos de pescado, my husband got the carne asada tacos and we swapped 1 each for “surf n turf”. At first I was skeptical if I would still be hungry after 2 tacos, but the portions were filling. Everything from the salsa, to the fish, to the margaritas was extremely fresh. The carne asada was probably the most tender and flavorful I’ve ever had. Our server was so helpful and attentive even with our many substitutes (I don’t like dairy and my husband doesn’t like onions, so we always get them on the side when we share). The ambiance was very welcoming and fun. 5/5 would recommend and return.

We have been going to Marinitas for years! The last two times we have ordered take out have not been good! Last night we ordered Chicken tacos and rice and beans. All tasteless! The chicken was supposed to be breast of chicken was mainly dark meat and even simple black beans and green rice was different! The wonderful chips they always had way too salty! Not sure what is going on but we will be staying away for now! We hope things can turn around because it has always been one of our favorite take out spots!!!

Quite nice however;
Super burrito: only 1 shrimp
Super burrito: very little chicken..
We asked for pinto beans ONLY n we got, pinto and black beans..
Guacamole was great!
In house tortilla chips were AWESOME. To go chips were not the same, they were thick n dangerous to bite, ) felt like we were gunna break a tooth 🤷🏼♀️
They also forgot salad dressing and eating utensils for salmon salad..
However, the salmon was great..

Food was tasty and the server was pretty accommodating to our group of 9 requesting 3 checks on a moderate weeknight evening.
The margaritas were too sweet and very weak, which was the only real issue I had. Otherwise a solid experience.

The food was very delayed even though the restaurant was not full, they also treat people with contempt
Food was great! Service was horrible.... We love it here but was very disappointed with the service.
This place is amazing. Food is prepped daily. I had chicken enchiladas here and the churros and a margarita. It was so delicious. The owner is a very nice person. the employees are very nice people and attentive. You have to try it.

Loved this family style Mexican spot. Beautiful decor, strong ass margaritas, good food! If I lived in the area I would haunt the shit out of this place for happy hour. This is the kind of place the kids growing up here will be unreasonably fond of for the rest of their lives for no other reason besides it’s a familiar comfort to them and makes them nostalgic.
We used to love this place, but it seems they have a new chef who loves salt. Lots of salt.
BTW, their enchiladas used to be great!
Chips and salsa are no longer free, since the ownership change.
David was incredible and served the best margaritas! Definitely come here for happy hour and dinner! Food is amazing and so is the staff and the food!
Disappointing. The guacamole and salsas were good but we were never asked if we wanted more chips. The most expensive margaritas were mostly ice and overly sweet -- too much Grand Marnier. My husband had the chicken enchilada, which he said was just ok. I had the shrimp tacos which were piled with a salad (watercress I think) that was very bitter and added nothing to the flavor. The tacos needed a fresh crema or something other than the salad. And while they serve dessert, they don't serve coffee. We have eaten here a few times in the past several months and each experience was just ok but we wanted to support this restaurant. This time was so disappointing, we won't be returning unless we learn that the food has improved.
I'm a first-time customer, and it's been so long since I had such a great experience! The cocktail I had was amazing, and the margarita was fresh and absolutely perfect. I ordered the tacos dorados de pollo, and my plate was clean within minutes. The churros were, without a doubt, the best I've ever had--freshly made, which is rare these days since many places just freeze them. The ambiance was fantastic, and the staff was so friendly!
