Sundowners Family Restaurant

We have been eating here since it first opened. The food is great. We love the clam chowder. The only problem I have with the Fontana sundowners is , Theresa, the lady that takes orders. She is always so grumpy and rude. So, we usually go to the San Bernardino sundowners to avoid her. She has been there forever!

Great price for how much food you get.

I used to come here all the time growing up. The atmosphere was wonderful, the decorations were amazing. I'm not sure if management or ownership changed, but the atmosphere is off. They have a sign of shirts they sell that don't even have to do with the restaurant. Also, the food isn't as good as it used to be. Again, I feel like the change in the way the restaurant is being managed isn't great. It noticeably doesn't get as full as it used to either. It's unfortunate considering how good it was.

This place used to be great. Ok good for a super low price. It used to be about $8 a plate but it doubled in price. But unfortunately the food didn't get twice as good it's still just ok.

I haven’t been here in a while, I got the steak and shrimp with a baked potato. The food was fresh and hot, delicious, but it is expensive. Eighteen dollars, like I said the food was great, but now salad is extra, so another four dollars, and if you get a soda add probably another four dollars to bring the total to $26.00 plus tax. You can go to Spunky Steer, or Road House for an extra $5.00, and get more food, and get waited on. This place used to be great and cheap, now it’s great and not quite worth the money for what you get

My family and I had dinner here. Just having moved from the Bay Area, it has been difficult to find a good place to eat at a reasonable price. My husband and I ordered the half fried chicken and my daughter had the kids steak. The food came about 15 minutes later, piping hot. The fried chicken was we'll seasoned and juicy. My daughters steak was cooked exactly to medium like I asked for and she said it was delicious, better than at a steak house we had just the night prior. The cashiers were friendly. The only negative I would have tomsay that it is a little dated and the women's bathroom had a weird smell. Other than that, everything else was great! Definitely will be bringing my family back here!

About a month ago we tried their ribeye and it was AMAZING so we decided to go back for that amazing ribeye and unfortunately it was not the same it was overcooked and we asked for new one and then it was undercooked then we asked for it to be cooked more and it was overcooked again we just wanted MEDIUM it was sad there was no consistency :(
