I would give the food quality a 4 out of 5 as they do give a good amount of portion. Some of their menu items are not that tasteful compared to the neighboring Chinese restaurant. For me the organe chicken and honey walnut shrimp is spoton. Also the chicken fried rice is tasteful

Hon Lin has delicious food. Put it this way. They season there food right. Try the seaweed egg drop soup and add seafood to it. Off the hook. There Peking Duck is on hit. Very happy when I eat here.

I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I I need a good lunch, this is the place that comes right away to my mind. Great and diverse food and a rich menu.courteous team, and agreeable mood. And very important, the pay is fair. I tell about this place with great pleasure.

I try to support our local restaurants when I can. I have ordered from Hon Lin for many years knowing that it's not the best but passible. On my last order the steamed rice was perfect, all other 4 items were horrible. They make Panda Express look like gourmet by comparison. Sorry I'm done.

Hon Lin is great because they have no problem catering to the authentic Chinese and the Americanized Chinese (which I am a part of lol). Great consistent food. And they offer great banquets for large groups (during non Covid). We have hosted red egg and ginger parties and 1 table chinese new year dinners here over the years and have never been disappointed. Gave them a 4 only because the decor hasnt changed since the 80s, but the food is always first rate.

We ordered 4 entrees, 1 vegetable fried rice, 1 garlic spinach and 2 vegetable chow mein. We got everything except the chow mein was with chicken. We are vegetarians so that was a no go. I double checked to ensure the mistake wasn't mine and it wasn't, I did specify "vegetable chow mein."I called the restaurant and spoke with a lovely woman named "Donna." I explained the problem and she was so gracious and figured that she likely mixed up my order. She was kindly apologetic. She immediately said she would have the orders redone and would run it out to me. She even asked that I text her my address to her personal cell to ensure she had it. I did so and she told me she would get it out to us shortly.Donna personally delivered the correct order to us and was kind and apologetic through the whole experience. The food was excellent and our neighbor friends who we gifted the chicken chow mein to also loved it.Although there was a mistake, in the end, the whole experience was positive largely because of the loveliness of Donna and of course the good food.I would recommend this restaurant very much.

I have been ordering from Hon Lin for more than 25 years. About 5 years ago they changed the hot and sour soup to remove the pork. Now you can still get it with pork, but you have to request it, and when you pick it up, you need to check, because sometimes forget (and they add an extra charge). Tonight I learned that they have changed my favorite: Hunan chicken strips. It no longer is made with spinach, although the Chef Special section in the online menu still says spinach. Now it is prepared with broccoli and onions. I'm very disappointed, since I don't know any other restaurant that makes it with spinach, and it has been my favorite for as long as I have been ordering from Hon Lin. The reception on the phone said that if you ask, they can still make it with spinach. Otherwise the food is good and good portions. I still lim=ke the mapo tofu.
