Best Chicken noodle near my house. The service and atmosphere are ok, but not a good place for gathering.

Don't let the name fool you, but this is a place you want to come to if you want good Viet-Asian comfort food; they take traditional Vietnamese favorites and put their own spin on things. We were fortunate to have the Chef walk by and glad we went with his recommendations.Their ultimate appetizer platter have something for everyone. With the traditional Vietnamese fried egg rolls, to their pork balls skewers poked in a cucumber and Asian style fried won ton pockets. To balance it out, there's vermicelli and other vegetables Another of our repeat favorite is their open flame cooked Quail with sweet onion garnish. Although it's to be have together the quail was tasty as is and didn't really need it. We also went with the Chef's recommendation of Eel, and this is one of the few places that cooks it just right (too long in the steamer and the meat is dry or too quick and the meat still sticks to the bone). Seasoning was done just right and added a savory taste that would've went well with some rice. For winter, we again went with the Chef's recommendation of pig stomach and chicken soup (Asian belief its good to drink this in the winter time to keep the body warm). Lot's of pig stomach and chicken (just needed a bowl of rice and this could've been a meal by itself) but the star was the soup, very hearty and tasty. The beef stew was on par, but their fried chicken and skin (with fish paste as the meat) was a masterful dish.Plenty of parking and although there's a parking lot in the back, it was easier to find street parking.

The service sucks. The spring rolls are clearly premade , I ask for no vegetables and the excuse I get is that the chef said it cannot be done without vegetables. Seriously? And the meat inside was cold. The noodles were ok. But that poor service takes away from any positive experience. Asked for a receipt and had to ask three times. The only thing this place has going for it is that is next to swim school, which makes it super convenient, otherwise I'm pretty sure I would never come back here.

Me and the boyfriend were craving some oxtail pho because the east bay doesn't have too many locations. So we found this small restaurant near SF airport. The parking didn't have too many areas to park but we got luck and we found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. The oxtail soup and the spring rolls were delicious and flavorful but my main concern was as the bathrooms. The bathrooms were disgusting & messy. The services were fast and easy. The staff members were nice and polite. I would definitely come back but I wouldn't use the bathrooms.

Too lazy to cook, came here for dinner. Ordered two appetizers and two bowls of noodle soup. The meat of the egg roll was too salty. The 5 spice chicken roll only had 3 little pieces of meat. they used chicken broth for the pho. The crab meat & tomato noodle soup is the only dish done it

San Bruno falls short of delicious Vietnamese food. You can try some places in Millbrae, one spot in SSF but the price point and authentic taste at Little Vietnamese Bistro is unmatched. Coming to Little Vietnamese Bistro is like a drive down to one of the best Vietnamese spots in San Jose. The pho is delicious. You can taste the beef broth with no msg flavor. You can tell they put lots of time and care into making a delicious broth. We also had the five spice chicken with garlic noodles. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and juicy, such a good balance with the garlic noodles. We also tried the spring rolls which were perfectly crisp, stuffed with a mix of pork, veggies and complimented by noodles and lettuce. So good dipped into the nouc mam!

Came here after work with a colleague’s recommendation. Ordered the Pho (#20) soup was bland and noodles were overcooked, just overall what I’m not used to coming from NYC and eating at authentic Vietnamese. Had the French style squab which to me was fried squab tossed in sauce, in other words not that different from Chinese style minus sauce. Should have known it was not authentic Vietnamese when I saw the Chinese characters on the menu. Waitress was friendly, just to the food was meh.

We came here for a last minute dinner on Friday night. It was busy but we got a table easily. It looks like a local's spot, which is cool.Parking was fairly easy in this stretch of San Bruno. The service was friendly. I thought the food was ok and reasonably priced.

Came here for my birthday dinner. S E R V I C E Service could have been better. I arrived with a group of 5 people the restaurant space is small and there were 2 large open tables in the back. We wanted to sit there given that we were a large group. Instead they just told us no. They crammed us in a tiny table up front. Note: the larger tables were not reserved. F O O D We ordered the Pho Broth. Right off the bat we noticed they use the larger noodles not the traditional thin silky noodles in pho. The soup does not taste like boiled soup with authentic ingredients instead they use substitute sauce. . This restaurant does not serve authentic pho. T I P S ?!?At the end of the meal , they bring the machine to pay. The woman waitress saw the tip and continued to tell us " The minimum tip is 10%". They should be grateful we even decided to tip them service was bad and food quality was bad. A tip means the service is good and food is good which none are true. This restaurant should really work on their food quality and service if they want a larger tip. Definitely regretted choosing this restaurant for my birthday dinner.

Subpar food and rude service. This place is also not very transparent with its pricing on its menu.

Not your typical Vietnamese, extensive menu of unique noodle soups and rice dishes not seen at other restaurants. French-Vietnamese options available.#21 Spicy Beef and Pork Noodle Soup comes with beef rib and pig feet. While tasty, the broth could have used more spice and lemongrass, less fish taste. #2 Shrimp Rolls came overstuffed with vermicelli and a peanut sauce lacking hoisin.Overall, excited enough about the menu to come by and try again.

Very tasty pho and generous portion, the beef carpaccio was so good, although it’s slightly different than how other places serve, the sauce would be a little bit blend, but the beef was very fresh. Service was great, the waiter was warmhearted, very nice lady. I will definitely come back and try more items from their menu, this can be my goto pho if I’m in town
