Very cute ambiance for a meet up/snack/beverage. San Carlos is very short on cafes to post up and co-work. I was hoping to find someplace like that. This is not a place for opening up your laptop. When I walked in to meet friends I saw a plate of toast go by covered in sliced fruit. Looked great. So I accidently assumed all their fruit toasts (fig/strawberry, etc) had fresh fruit on them, especially considering the price. I was incorrect. The one I saw was the outlier-- in that the mango/avo toast are the only ones were the topping is not flavored jam. Seeing that jam is a condiment that is usually served on the side, free with toast I was surprised and disappointed by v expensive "fig" toast that just had a dollop of fig jam on it instead. Just get real clear on what you are ordering ahead of time to see how hefty/or not it is.

We decided to check out this spot on a Monday afternoon when more traditional breakfast places were already closing. It more than fit the bill! First off, the food was excellent. A good variety of menu options with all quality fresh ingredients. I often hesitate when it comes to breakfast toasts because I've gotten too many flavorless generic offerings. Not so here! I had the tomato+mozzarella toast. It comes on lovely thick batard bread (don't know what that means but it's tasty) with tomato, mozzarella balls, avocado and basil. For extra flavor they added salt and pepper and vinaigrette. My wife had the avocado and egg toast with the same kind of bread, soft-boiled eggs, chili, and paprika. She said it was very tasty. We also split an order of mini beignets with chocolate sauce. They were soft and doughy and they were not drenched in confectioners sugar, which was a point in their favor. The chocolate sauce was a nice addition, although the beignets were good all by themselves.

Next, the place offers counter service, and they deliver to the table. The attendant was friendly and offered an alternative when they didn't have decaf drip coffee. The wait was just a few minutes. My Americano was fine. Good coffee flavor and not too week. My wife enjoyed her decaf latte also.

We sat on the back patio to soak up the sunshine. It was a nice setting and dog friendly. There was also ample seating inside at the front counter area, in the middle and also one table inside before opening into the patio. A very nice experience all around

The food and interior are good. There are nice skylight windows as well. However the windows directly face a busy street and thus the view when we eat becomes running cars… not what I expected.

Also, laptops are not allowed in the weekends… Well I expect to use it while sipping coffee and this place is supposed to be a coffee shop.

So I won’t go again. There are many other better choices

The vibes of this cafe are so adorable, and all of the food is delicious. The inside is so cute, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu is amazing, with many flavors of avocado toast and waffles. My personal favorite is the mango tajin avocado toast. Their drink menu is also phenomenal, with so many flavors of matcha, coffee, and teas. The staff is so kind and helpful, food comes quickly, and ordering is a breeze! A bit pricey, but so worth it.

Was able to attend an afternoon tea Bridal Shower here and it was fantastic.
The restaurant was privately booked and we were the only guests.
Food and tea was delicious and plenty for all of the guests.

It is a very spacious venue with plenty of seating and good lighting. We enjoyed our tea tower which was very filling. Ingredients were fresh. Drinks were tasty.

Not the best avocado toast I have. It would have been better if the bread was whole wheat.
