It was a rainy, gloomy day but the owner was so friendly and explained about coffee beans. I tried the Peabody which I've never seen on any other menu. Albert, who is a regular and a good friend of the owner treated me to my first cup of coffee. I've actually never had anyone pay for me before so it was quite different and unexpected. What a great way to start a Monday and the holidays. Thank you both.
Now this is a real coffee place.. and when I say real I mean a single source coffee outlet.. The dude who served me coffee has been growing the coffee for many, many years... That's the kind of connection that I want to support... A non-corporate farming operation out in Peru, is what we all need to support in light of Starbucks and Peet's coffee putting a bad taste in people's mouth and destroying the environment while using pesticides...
