Kind of a hole in the wall spot that is in undercover gem. The sushi is wide-ranging and excellent… from all the rolls that you would expect to some high-end, interesting additions, like grilled salmon/yellow tail cheek. All of the rolls are thoughtfully put together and you can’t go wrong with any of them. The vibe is super cool…it’s another great sushi option in San Clemente. They do have a wacky limited hours situation where you could get there too late and not have a shot at eating, so my advice is to go earlier than you think you should to ensure you can get in and then it’s a great experience.

The nigiri here is so good and incredibly fresh! I tried the negitoro roll and a variety of nigiri, and everything was delightful. The Hirame, Uni, and Ika were particularly outstanding. The restaurant can get quite busy and require a short wait during busy dining periods. The interior is modern and intimate, and the service was very friendly.

This place is great! Tough to get a table because they are always busy. We enjoyed the tempura eggplant, amberjack sushi, San Clemente roll, Koba Koba roll, and Seared yellowtail roll. The yellowtail roll was my personal favorite. They even included a free dessert of assorted mochi ice cream because we had to wait for our reservation table for 15 minutes. Definitely will be back soon!

Hands down best sushi you can find in Southern California (perhaps even in US). Try coming in for lunch during the week if your schedule allows it and ask for their daily specials. Enjoy!
The service and attentiveness was on par with a few of the high end restaurants in Dana Point. I was recommended the restaurant by a resident of San Clemente and I am glad I took his advice. I drove from San Diego to San Clemente to have dinner with family and 9 style sushi is a local gem! I am glad I made the drive. Food was delicious and platting was eye catching. Thank you again for serving delicious food. And going out of your way to providing an awesome dinning experience!

Small, a little cramped space but really good food! My favorite is the salmon lemon and Kabo Kabo rolls.

Always great food. Not a big restaurant and popular so expect 30min wait. But best Sushi in San Clemente so worth the wait.

The fish is borderline not great, so they mutilate it and douse it in citrus so you cant taste anything, the portions are tiny and overpriced, and the krab is 90% mayo ?. Additionally, they coat the soft shelled crab in so much breading that that becomes all it is which makes it inedible. Also, the wait times are atrocious, they will make you stand around for an hour + in the cold when you are the only customer in sight. It's a shame because this is the last sushi place left in SC, but it simply isn't worth going to :(
