As a Michigan native who calls SoCal home, I love making the drive from San Diego to get a taste of home.

Literally the best pizza I’ve ever had! I like that they have a new pizza every month. And it’s a really fun bar environment too. I hope they consider more vegetarian and maybe even a vegan pizzas sometime.

Had a great lunch at Gibroni's today! Lactose intolerants beware, a few slices of the pepperoni pizza did a number on my stomach. But it was totally worth it.

Pizza was amazing. Wings were just ok. Limited indoor seating, but we didn't have a problem getting a table. Good place to watch a game on TV.

There's no other way to put this, Gibroni's is a top if not thee top pizza in OC. I have read so many reviews and finally got a chance to try it and it did not disappoint. My friend and I ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was plenty for two people. My friend and I absolutely devoured the pizza it was so delicious. The crisp yet fluffy crust was definitely the highlight, but I also thought their pizza sauce was on point. It was light, bright, good tomato flavor which balanced the richness of the rest of the pizza nicely. The service was friendly and there was plenty of seating to hang out and chill. Highly recommend this spot, would definitely travel 30+ minutes for this pizza!

Can't speak to the taste of the pizza- no vegan options but it looked amazing! Atmosphere was a Michiganders dream- the place itself is a lot bigger than I expected with plenty of indoor seating, bar seats, and a patio. Lots of TVs to catch the games and of course plenty of Vernors and Faygo!

Amazing spot with great Wi-Fi, hard kombucha option and amazing deep dish pizza. Kevin is the coolest, nicest guy you could ask for to serve you. Love how he had on stick figure radio! Great environment to watch your favorite game. I can't believe I heard they may have UFC that would be so much fun to watch here!!!

Cost for two pizzas was $80. Quality was equal to that of Little Caesar's for the same quantity - $20.

Would never go back.

If you're into the aged Wisconsin cheese and love saltiness, grease, and rectangular pan crusted pizza then by all means go for Gibronis. I love the vibe at this place and the level of service is exceptional. 🙂

Don’t usually leave these but this place was bad, owner running around drunk, pizza was insanely expensive and stood at the counter waiting to order forever. Pizza came out and it was so heavy and greasy, which is not how proper Detroit is, two bites and the rest went in the trash, unprofessional and tacky environment. Band was so loud you couldn’t here the bartender. Two thumbs down for us, we will stick with Pizza port or dominoes .

I really wanted to like this place and Detroit style pizza is all the rage these days, but it just isn’t for me. First the good: staff was very friendly. Fun bar vibe and also has an arcade for the kids. Sauce was pretty good. Cranch salad was excellent. The best name for a pizza place ever. (I really wanted to love it!)

Unfortunately, it took an hour for the pizza to come out and when it did, it just wasn’t good. Greasy, insanely overloaded with pepperoni, too doughy and waaaay too much cheese. I realize this is likely the mark of a Detroit style pizza. If you love a Chicago deep dish, you might like this. I do not. Those crispy edges were good, but I only wanted 2 or 3 bites of any piece. I also didn’t love eating on cheap paper plates with plastic forks, and knives don’t seem to exist anywhere at Gibronis. It’s also annoying to have to visit the bar separate from your food order and open a new tab, even for a fountain drink.

If I ever decide to become a Lions fan I’d go back for the bar (maybe a salad), but I don’t see that happening and probably never again. Rounded the review up to 3 stars because it’s probably someone’s thing and I am happy to have a new concept in San Clemente.
