Cost for two pizzas was $80. Quality was equal to that of Little Caesar's for the same quantity - $20.

Would never go back.

If you're into the aged Wisconsin cheese and love saltiness, grease, and rectangular pan crusted pizza then by all means go for Gibronis. I love the vibe at this place and the level of service is exceptional. 🙂

Don’t usually leave these but this place was bad, owner running around drunk, pizza was insanely expensive and stood at the counter waiting to order forever. Pizza came out and it was so heavy and greasy, which is not how proper Detroit is, two bites and the rest went in the trash, unprofessional and tacky environment. Band was so loud you couldn’t here the bartender. Two thumbs down for us, we will stick with Pizza port or dominoes .

I really wanted to like this place and Detroit style pizza is all the rage these days, but it just isn’t for me. First the good: staff was very friendly. Fun bar vibe and also has an arcade for the kids. Sauce was pretty good. Cranch salad was excellent. The best name for a pizza place ever. (I really wanted to love it!)

Unfortunately, it took an hour for the pizza to come out and when it did, it just wasn’t good. Greasy, insanely overloaded with pepperoni, too doughy and waaaay too much cheese. I realize this is likely the mark of a Detroit style pizza. If you love a Chicago deep dish, you might like this. I do not. Those crispy edges were good, but I only wanted 2 or 3 bites of any piece. I also didn’t love eating on cheap paper plates with plastic forks, and knives don’t seem to exist anywhere at Gibronis. It’s also annoying to have to visit the bar separate from your food order and open a new tab, even for a fountain drink.

If I ever decide to become a Lions fan I’d go back for the bar (maybe a salad), but I don’t see that happening and probably never again. Rounded the review up to 3 stars because it’s probably someone’s thing and I am happy to have a new concept in San Clemente.

I live local here, we came about two months ago and pizza was great… The bar, however was taking dirty glassware, dipping them in sanitizer and then putting them directly into use. We told the owner about it and he graciously gave us free beers. But he did the same routine and dipped dirty glasses in sanitizer and poured us new beers. One of the glasses had food scraps in it. After that we didn’t come back until tonight hoping things would be different.

I ordered beers tonight and witnessed the bar staff doing the same thing. There are several sanitizing steps missing in cleaning the glassware here and you can tell by simply looking at your beer after it has been poured. There were food scraps on the inside of our glasses as well as lipstick on the soda/water cup that we had. Hate to see it but, that’s been the case 2 out of 2 times we came here and several months apart so nothing has been done to change it.

Hoping things will change, the food here is great, but if that’s how the bar is run it makes me question how the kitchen is run.

Great vibe, good food, decent prices for the serving size. Square, deep dish pizza.

Order online didn’t get the correct pizza and it’s a pizza joint and they ran out of wings ://// that’s kinda wild especially if you’re going to have the option for it

*WARNING* I had a friend of mine invite me down to this place since I was in town to watch the lions game. We showed up and were watching the game and I saw (who I later was told was the owner of the place) literally screaming in a packer fans face for absolutely no reason. I don't know who this guy was but he was simply clapping for the team and the owner couldn't stand it. I actually wanted to intervene but my friend pleaded as he is a known local in the community. The owner seemed like he was drunk which was very weird and really made himself look like a complete irrational child. I did find it ironic that he literally was screaming at the smallest guy in the entire place. Not a good look for the business and I feel absolutely horrible for his employees that have to endure a drunken lose cannon like Anthony. My recommendation is DO NOT come here especially if this owner is willing to treat ANYONE the way he did. Who cares what his food taste like people should not step foot in the place.

It wasn’t what I expected at all! There are a few games for kids. It is a bar. You go to a window and order your pizza. They give you a number and you sit down. You get your drinks yourself, from the bar or from the water station. I imagine the set up is great to keep the amount of employees down.
The food was fabulous. The best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Deep, crispy, cheese base, sauce lightly on top was just so good! Not going to lie, we ate there with no expectations! We picked it because of the name!

Parking: It doesn’t really matter where you go in this area, unless they have their own parking it is difficult to find somewhere to park!

I feel like they should have stuck to their small operation when they were at their other location. Pizza is ok but not enough toppings and sauce. It’s basically cheese bread

It was our first visit here, and I really was hoping I would enjoy it more than I did.
Ordering food was easy at the walk-up counter. There is no table service. You have to get in the food line to order your meal. Then you gou stand at the bar to order a beer.
Then you look for a table. We found one empty, but they only cleared the food and glasses but never wiped it down. I had to get someone with a towel to clean it for us.
Our pizza came, and it was only 4 small squares for $22 + tax & tip. A beer was $9.50. The pizza had good flavor, but it was so soaked and dripping with oil that the pizza was soggy in places.
The fact that they still have live music like the previous owner is a plus.
Overall, the value and service for the price didn't really work for us. There are many great choices to eat out in San Clemente.
