When the owners got a new crew to cook everything? Not going back, EVER! Shame, it was a great place. The second, I bit into my empanada???? Nope, & I hadn't even broke all the way thru!!! No, thanks.DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Everything is good here. Most of all - the arepas! Sometimes they have Imperial beer from Costa Rica - one of my favorites. Definitely stop by.

Wow! DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE. Trip #1: Taco Tuesday was a hit! We happen to catch happy hour (Monday to Friday 3 to 6pm). Two tacos on arepas for $6! Margaritas are excellent and well poured, $8 during HH. We had the plantains and guacamole which were amazing! Hubby had a Sculpin Hazy IPA. Total bill was $32. Say what!? Two dinners, two tasty drinks, and an appetizer! Left very satisfied and knowing this place is going to become a regular option for us! Parking lot or street parking. Trip#2: Saturday enjoyed Churrasco Colombiana and Carnitas a La Colombiana. Very fresh, so good and BIG portions. This is now on the WEEKLY plan.

This is our favorite restaurant period and drop the mic!!! Drove bye several times before going. Now it's one of 2 places we go in the SanClemente area. Colombian food is far superior to Mexican in terms of freshness and quality. The staff are customer service assassins as we feel like family after a few months of going. America is a 5 star bartender with her fine detail to a creative margarita as well as cocktail combinations I've never tried until this point. Bradley keeps us entertained with his amazing life stories. Lois is creating masterpieces from a menu created by the owner who was a joy to meet. Make this a regular place to get away from it all. I always feel I'm on vacation when we go.

This place was recommended by friends. I made a reservation bc I was told it was so good. When we got there, the place was empty but it was 4:30, so early. The ambiance was missing... The food was really good - very tasty... but meat was completely rare and had to be recooked. The SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE - Almost non existent! The first server was really nice but just too slow.... maybe he was stoned? We ordered two different bottles of wine and they didn't have either and took 45 minutes to give us one they had. We finally got to order and it took about an hour and a half. They served other people way before us that got there after us. A couple came in and waited to be served and finally left and told us that there's plenty of places to go eat who want to serve you. This place has so much potential... food was really good, Plantains were really good too but we won't go back ... four of us were ignored for way too long and it cost $$$$ ... very pricey - Empanadas we're so good but very small - 4 of them for $17... we ordered 8 ... potato $ meat ... the bill was huge and they didn't even give us any discount!

As a Colombian myself, the food here was outstanding! The arepas are are honestly the best I've ever had. My lady had Sancocho, I had the Bandeja and we shared beef empanadas. Everything was absolutely delicious. We will for sure be returning !

Delicious. Arepas are fantastic--i want one right now-- as is the shrimp and the quesadilla. The tamale needs a little more flavor for my taste. Fortunately there are several sauce options. The margaritas are strong! Beware. The blackberry and passion fruit ones are fabulous. Flavored sugar instead of salt. So good!!This is a chill very, very laid back place. I felt like I could have sat there till morning and they would have been ok. They probably would have brought coffee and sat with us. That kind of place.Very good for my celiac wife. Almost everything is gf

If you're going anywhere else for Taco Tuesday you are doing it wrong!!!!! Haha Guys! I just moved in to North Beach area (lived locally my whole life) and am walking distance to La Colombiana. I've been here almost once a week and just discovered their taco Tuesday. I've been telling all my friends so now I'm telling yelp! I've gone to plenty of taco Tuesday but La Colombiana's arepa tacos are soooo good. Happy Hour is 3-6 M-F and has $5 beers and $8 cocktails. Amazing carnitas sliders $8 and plantain chips and guacamole ($5). I am blown away by these prices for the quality!!!! Okay...nowww let's taco about this AMAZING taco Tuesday! 2 arepa taco for $6. I am obsessed with the ceviche and steak. I've come for dinner and brunch as well. I have never had a bad experience or meal. The Colombian coffee and desert (flan or Tiramisu) is amazing. I cannot believe I slept on this place for SO MANY years. This is a hidden gem.
