Very Surprised. I was walking by and wanted ice cream, wasn't looking for vegan. The staff gave us samples and it was yummy. The ice cream sandwich with butter cookies was great!

I am only putting this up to save other people from driving there only to find out they are not open! I had bookmarked this place for awhile and really wanted to try it. We drove over 35 mins to get my little one some ice cream to celebrate a special moment in her life. When we got there the store was locked up cold. No signage, no explanation as to why they were not open when we were clearly there during their business hours. It said the business hours were updated 2 weeks ago by business owners on yelp but I guess they open when they feel like it. After this, I am not inclined to give them another try.

I unfortunately have not been able to visit the store front, but my husband and I picked up one of their Chocolate Chip Cookie Vanilla Ice Cream sandwiches from our local Erewhon, and we were absolutely blown away. As someone who is gluten free, dairy free, and refined sugar free, I came to terms with the fact that desserts will never be quite as good as they did before I made these dietary changes, so I didn't expect all that much. That was until I came across this ice cream sandwich. It is quite literally the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had across the board. The chocolate chip cookie is perfectly chewy with just the right amount of sweetness and the ice cream is so smooth with a delicious coconut cream base. My husband and I just kept saying wow back and forth to each other as we enjoyed this dessert. We cannot wait to try their other ice creams and hopefully one day visit the shop. This ice cream is seriously delicious. I am so stoked that we stumbled upon Vedder's at the market.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the vegan ice cream place in San Clemente, and it exceeded all my expectations. The flavors they offer are truly delicious, making it the best vegan ice cream I've ever tasted. What sets this place apart is not just the ice cream but also the exceptional attention to customer service. During my trip to San Clemente, discovering this place was a nice surprise. It has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and make a visit - you won't be disappointed!

"Have a nice day" hits different with a transactional scowl vs. a smile. But will come back for the ice cream, 4 stars for quality of product!

My ideal way to end a beach day is a trip to Vedder’s! Chocolate chip cookie dough is hands down my favorite flavor but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s hard to find a dairy free ice cream that competes, let alone one that is refined sugar free! Do yourself a favor and get some!
