So sad they're closing in 6 months! If you haven't, you should. It's a family run diner that has been operating on the corner in an ever changing downtown for decades. We like to stop in for a cheap bfast and have coffee at the counter remembering the way things used to be..... and how those days and places like these will be long gone.

The most reputable cafeteria in my area. I was not expecting this place would be this impressive. I got my favorite coffee and desserts. They never fail me on my high expectations. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure! Come and visit this cafeteria. I will never let you down on their remarkable coffee.

This authentic old school greasy spoon diner will soon be replaced by fancy food palace serving mediocre menu at high end prices. Taste old school before it's gone forever. The burgers would leave greasy stains on the paper bag. Today's plastic bags don't stain and cost $.10 cents a piece

What a true hidden gem in the heart of East Village. While in the area I wanted a simple place to have breakfast. After looking around on yelp. I landed to 12th and Broadway Restaurant. If you are a person who loved supporting local businesses the this place is a must. The moment you step foot into the restaurant you are warmly greeted with a nice hello. After looking at the menu. I decided to try the Greek omelette and the homemade French toast. The food was truly amazing. After one bite I was sold. Everything is made from fresh. If you are looking for a true place to enjoy all kinds of food. Then you owe yourself a visit to 12th and Broadway Restaurant. The nicest staff you will ever meet. First class customer service from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave.

A typical old school diner! Good food, great prices! Took family there for a simple and inexpensive breakfast on the way to airport..

Right on the corner of the street (hence the name). I walked in and met one of the owners, Larry. He was very nice and really made the experience great. This WW2 vet had me laughing and smiling all breakfast and my omelet was made exactly how I wanted it. It's a lot of food for a great price. If you get a chance to meet Larry definitely don't miss on the opportunity to speak with him.

I've lived down the road for 5 years and never stopped in until yesterday. Unfortunately, the immediate area is a bit off putting and unappetizing so despite wanting to check it out and having friends tell me it was great I never made it in until my wife gave birth and we needed a place to go that was a very short walk. Let me tell you, I so wish I had stopped in sooner. This place is truly a hidden gem. It's been family owned for 70 years and the old man and woman who run it are so gracious and kind. The food is excellent!!! Prices are very fair. I ordered the daily special beef enchiladas and they were absolutely delicious. My aunt, uncle, parents and wife were all so impressed with the service and food. They ordered traditional American breakfasts which looked great. The owner brought out fresh Chili Rellanos and which I had to try as I couldn't stop stuffing my face with all the great food. Another huge hit! When we went to pay, the owner didn't mention anything about a tip and ran our card. Apparently with their system we need to notify them to add the tip first(no option on the receipt to add afterward). She told us no problem, we didn't need to tip. Luckily we had cash for the tip because the service was as outstanding as the food. I can't wait to come back. Unfortunately, the owner says that the property was purchased by the city and they will be shutting down in 2021 after 70 years. Good for them, they deserve a break and relaxing retirement. Bad for all of the rest of this:(

Its a typical run papa and ma joint. Friendly place. Both of the wait staff speak Spanish. Its a cute gem to find it. It was a recommendation from the building handyman. Its a walking distance from the office. Drove by in the past, its nice to finally stop in and have a bite. Coffee is bottomless refill.
