Great pour-over coffee, friendly staff. My only complaint is the the smell of kitchen is intense inside. After 20 minutes all my clothes smelled of deep-fry oil. But if you sit outside it's nice

Place, food and coffee amazing. Service if I can give zero I would. I came here 2 times and both times the lady that works here has 0 customer service training. No smile, no hi, she does something else for 5 min doesn’t say I will be right with you. When I shared my experience with my friend, she told me the same thing happened to her.

Horrible service. Seconds into the 2pm close time while I'm waiting for my tea to cool down, a worker comes up to me and tells me they're closed. Mind you, the coffee shop was completely full! He proceeds to tell me that everyone else is a "worker" there. How was I supposed to know that all 6 people lounging around work there?

I went here once and didn’t love the coffee I got (a latte) but wanted to give it another try and got another honey-cinnamon latte and also didn’t like it because it tasted like watered down coffee with barely any flavor and the service wasn’t great (not very friendly - they could’ve been having a bad day so I’m happy to give them the benefit of the doubt and also wouldn’t have minded as much if the coffee was good). I just think it’s a little overrated especially if I’m paying $7 for a regular sized coffee. I read other reviews, and it seems if you want the pour over coffee, that may be your best bet here. I haven’t had their food so can’t rate them on that.

By far my favorite coffee roaster in San Diego. Located right across from Petco Park. We've visited during off season so it was easy to drop in without any huge ball crowds. The star of the shop that I really enjoyed was the nitro cold brew. Incredibly smooth and great tasting. As soon as the brew was poured out of the tap, you can immediately tell it's gonna be a good day. By far one of the best nitro cold brews I've ever had. Staff was welcoming and service was quick. Skip Starbucks and support local. Cheers to a good brew.

Very cute coffee shop offering beans from South America. There is also a wide selection of food items and sandwiches. Service is excellent and we made friends with Mr. Skeleton.

We bike regularly during the weekend in the downtown area and decided to come here to redeem my free birthday drink. This coffee shop has three locations around the downtown area. We went to the one across from Petco Park as it's a lot more chill than the one on J street. The other location is perched on a large hill so we have only gone there once on bike

I am from Seattle and thus have a high standard for coffee-- and Achilles Coffee is delicious! I had a perfectly made latte as well as the avocado toast and both hit the spot. The location is sunny and comfortable and the team that took care of me was very friendly. I'm coming back each morning I'm here for my conference! Thank you!

Highly recommend going to Achilles for their pour overs. They have a ton of single origin options that they conveniently have labeled light to dark with tasting notes.Everything else was just average. They messed up our breakfast burrito order. Even though they did offer to remake it, it took so long to get it initially that we just ate it as it was. Wait time for food was oddly long given that we got there when it opened.

Not a huge coffee fan… I know. Lol ? I went to Achilles because I happened to be craving coffee this morning. The girl was kinda blah- but no biggie it was like 7 am ? but she was polite enough. I loved the bagel with salmon.. the bagel tasted fresh… wished there was a tiny bit more cream cheese- but overall 9.5/10. I also got the cold brew vanilla and cinnamon iced latte with oat milk. 10/10. Like I said, not a huge coffee fan- I drank the whole 16oz ? I will be returning tomorrow…. I don’t live down this way- but when I do have to be down this way… I will be returning to Achilles! Overall: 9.5/10

Fantastic service, good food and even better coffee. Worth the wait for pour overs and I would eat the food out of a dumpster if needed.

I got the house latte, which was fantastic, and a Build Your Own Bagel. The bagel was fresh, great smoked salmon, and the staff although busy was very friendly. We'll be coming
