Randy Jones was a pitcher with the San Diego Padres back in the 70's. He was a Cy Young Award winner in 1976 and San Diego Padres Hall of Famer. He currently can be heard on the radio supporting the Padres pre and post game shows. The man was a legend on the field and has carried that notoriety to his catering business that can be found on every level of Petco Park. It's amazing that all of those websites ranking the best ballpark hot dogs never mention Randy Jone's BBQ. Petco Park has some of the best food options of any ballpark but half the time I HAVE to get a Randy Jone's Hot Dog because it's the best deal at Petco. If you don't stop by Randy Jones while enjoying a Padres game, turn around! Go to section 116 for the best dogs in the stadium. The big slugger dog is my favorite, but I just tried the brat this weekend and it was top tier! The bun was fluffy and the grilled onions were the cherry on top. Don't miss out!
