“Excellent and welcoming service. Was nearby looking for food and decided to give this place a shot. Amazing. Between my gf and I we tried everything, we got 2 of the big plates (2meats and 2 veggies and rice) and it was all amazing. The jerk chicken and curry chicken was so good i can't wait to come again. Also their drinks ( e got the mixed berry and mango) were perfect.

Also we had our dog with us and they had no issue with us dining inside, the dining area is really nice.

If you don't visit this spot trust me you're missing out.“

Taste of African Cuisine African • $
5241 University Ave, San Diego

“The food is amazing!! We got the spicy and sweet chicken, coconut rice, plantains, and juice. We got there at 8:01pm, because the website says they are open until 9, and Google says they are open until 8:30. The blonde woman who works there was incredibly kind. She heated us up food to go even though they were technically closed. Amazing food and employees. But please update your hours.“

“Food was full of flavor. I tried the meat combo which came with an assortment of very well seasoned meat dishes/stews and a side of injera. My only complaint is that the food was a little too salty, and I feel like I have a high tolerance for salt.“

“The food was amazing. The owner is friendly and checks in on the qaulity of the experience. A rare example of an attention to detail lacking in many 4 and 5 star resturants. Some of the most flavorful food you can eat in the SD area. Highly recommend!!“

Lagos Restaurant & Catering Services Caterers • $$

“Food at this place is authentically Nigerian. The jollof rice was great and the goat meat very flavorful. The pepper soup is only for the brave, it's fiery and is guaranteed to cure a cold- at least that's my theory. Also, great energy from the owners. You can tell that they'll do great things with the place.“

“Small restaurant serving delicious home cooked Somali cuisine for 16 years. It is located in a strip mall that’s not fully occupied. Its menu is limited and occasionally they might not have some of the dishes. However, once you take a bite of the food, you will forget about all of that, as all things are cooked just right, with good flavors that are not overpowering, and in good portions.

The goat plate is very tender and the fish in both fish wrap and fish salad is moist and savory.
Service is polite and courteous. There’s a discount for cash payments, too.“

“Name is LG. I enjoy eating Nagerian food alot and I've tried numerous places in SD. I gotta say this place food was so fresh, delicious and perfect portion (taste and look as well). The Efo riro with egusi soup was amazing. The place doesn't look that fancy but I guess that's because it's still new. The food worth it.“
