The decorations and ambiance are very nice. The issue was the service. Took awhile to get someone to take our order. They forgot my husband's wine twice. We asked the bus boy to get our server to take our second drink order and no one ever came. Half of my family got their food and the rest of us continued to wait. My salad came and was just romaine and carrots, it was missing half the ingredients. It was sent back and never came back. My family was almost done eating so I canceled it. The food was very good except the calamari. The garlic knots are amazing.

Booked a reservation for 2 before closing and still was able to get food and service on time! They even let us stay past closing and seemed they let you leave as you please. Though this was just our experience.

I was genuinely looking forward to dining here since this restaurant is all over social media and came highly recommended. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. The quality of the food did not live up to the hype or the price. My pasta, as well as the pasta ordered by others in my party, was undercooked and hard. Considering the premium prices, we expected a memorable meal, but instead left feeling disappointed. There was nothing about the dishes that stood out in terms of flavor or execution. If you're looking for exceptional Italian food, I would recommend supporting a smaller, less social media-famous restaurant where the food is truly flavorful and memorable. This experience didn't leave us blown away by the cuisine—only by the size of the bill.

Visited with a party of 5 on July 25th. Initial table we were given was filthy as was the silverware. We were moved to another table inside and very loud. A customer next two us spilled Tequila on my wife. We ordered appetizers, dinner and drinks. Bruschetta was poor, the rest of our meals were subpar and not nearly as good as other places nearby. Our server Manuela was fabulous and was very apologetic .To make matters worse I got pinged by OPEN TABLE the next day because I hadn't showed up for my reservation? Not recommended and will not return.

Went to Allegro for my friends bachelorette party dinner our first night in San Diego and everything was great. We had a party of 8 and were seated in a cute area great for pictures. The food was excellent, they had a lobster shrimp fettuccine (i think) as their special and its was mouth watering! I thought I had lost my phone and multiple employees helped look for it. The service was great, Silvio took really great care. And their photographer took great photos for her special dinner. 10/10

We went here to celebrate getting married and our server Marco was fantastic. He was quick, kind, and funny too. Seriously want to request to be sat in his area every time we come back. I sincerely hope Allegro knows how great they have it, having Marco on their team.
The food was phenomenal, seriously so so yummy. The entire atmosphere was so romantic but didn't feel stuffy. Also the service speed? Insanely quick. We were not expecting everything to come out so efficiently, and on top of that, delicious too.
We will come back for sure. Everything about this place was perfect, and it made our already very special day even more so. We felt like we were treated like royalty, and they didn't know we had just gotten married until the dessert portion of our evening (meaning they just treat everyone like this, regardless of why you are dining there). I cannot stress enough how much we recommend this place.
