i eat from this place almost every month. ignore all the bad reviews about the food being dry or cold, this is expected from a fast-food chinese place! ive been to many chinese places here in san diego and this is the only one with quality and quantity. id choose this over panda express any day! its affordable and they give you enough food for 3 people. they also serve sushi and i never order without one of their soups. every time i order its hit or a miss, like sometimes the hot and sour soup will have tofu and sometimes it won't. but i never leave with an empty stomach. literally my go to place.

I haven't had aaia wok for a few years...but my have they changed...the orange chicken was like no other chicken I had in my life...it honestly didn't taste like chicken...I brought 2 pieces of the fried chicken..got it home and nearly broke my damn teeth out....the soda was flat....customer service was aight...I wish I had of just went to epic wings

For counter service Asian food I always use Panda Express (average) as my measuring stick. Asia Wok I would consider a notch below. The portions are larger than Panda and the prices are slightly lower, but 4 of the 5 items we tried were disappointing. The Chow Mein did not have enough flavor, the orange chicken despite being fresh was also lacking flavor and was mostly breading and the cream cheese wontons might have been the worst I've had in San Diego. Spicy Chicken didn't taste like anything at all. On the other hand, the teriyaki chicken was fantastic. Juicy, flavorful and actually had a great char on it. Value was good. 2 people and enough food for 4 meals for ~$30. I doubt we would return though.

They acknowledged and gave three bucks back. Check your bank statements/receipts for additional non-applicable charges to your purchase. Wil only consider visiting when busy (on weekends) for fresh meal.

Wife and I were hungry for some Chinese food, and ordered some of the fried chicken, chicken chow mein and the house egg rolls. A pretty simple order. Food was made pretty fast. Too bad the chicken tasted like it was fried with a mixture of tap water and old oil. The seasoning was off as well. And then the chow mein noodles were overcooked and the chicken was still not good. Finally I hoped the egg-roll wasn't going to be nasty , but I guess this restaurant is filled with surprises . The egg roll didn't even taste like a durn egg roll. Didn't taste like meat, vegetables or nothing. It looked brown and like it was dried and rolled up fryer grease. Everything literally has a terrible aftertaste, and I'm not only annoyed from the waste of money, but it's just the fact of wanting some simple , tasty Chinese food, and we get served food like it's an MRE for sailors. NEVER again. Huge let down, I sincerely hope anyone reading this saves their money and go elsewhere. You're better off at panda or somewhere.

I've been coming here for years. And have never been so disappointed lately. When the young ladies fix my plate the proportions are just right. But when the men fix my plate I never have enough of anything except for Rice and noodles. This place has went down tremendously. But if you want to take a chance on this place it's best that you show up in person. Because if you don't you don't know whether or not you're going to have enough food. And if this is happening more than twice then what is happening to the food itself. So you can trust this place if you want to but don't be a fool believe me don't be a fool. To the young ladies thank you very much for your polite and great service. I am sorry for you all.

I’m going to keep it real…this food is extra nasty. It’s like it was mad with a hint of mop water. You can taste a funk in everything.The house egg roll was so nasty..my kids literally spit it into their hands after trying it. I tried it and agreed…gross af.Everything is extra greasy too. My mouth was coated in grease like a dang candle.Cute girl at the counter was cool. Had a genuine smile and was quick to pack up the food.Portion sizes are huge! You'll thank me for not wasting your money...So, I had a strong craving for salt and pepper chicken wings, went here tonight because it's located maybe 5 minutes from where I just moved to. Thought it looked okay online, and would save me a 20 min drive to Imperial Palace or Royal Mandarin in National City, my fave places to go for good wings! A few reviews said the S&P wings were good. They lied!Firstly, the cost is crazy at $12 for 8 pieces. I can go to either of the aforementioned places and get 12 wings PLUS fried rice for the same price or close to it. No rice comes with the wings at Asia Wok. I was feeding three people, so I ended up ordering a 2-item combo meal to make up for the extra pieces of chicken I was expecting, as well as for the rice.Secondly, although they were friendly enough, the service was very slow. Very. The chick at the counter was pulling double duty packing to-go orders and counter orders while her co-worker rang people up, and I respect that it's a lot of work. But she had absolutely no pep in her step! Moving way too slow. There were four worker-guys just kinda standing around in the side and back areas of the kitchen not doing anything or helping out at all. I was in line maybe 6-7 minutes before she even greeted me. Then I had to wait for more wings to cook, which I thought was a good sign at first, like, 'They can't keep enough wings at the counter, must be tasty!' ? 20 minutes later, the wings come out. They looked a little dark, but I was ready to go and didn't feel like complaining...Got into the car and I could smell the salt / old grease. Not a good sign. Got them home and tasted them - WAAAAY too much table salt! I had to dust some of it off. You can tell they aren't using the authentic seasoning mix. S&P fans know that flavor. You can barely wait to drive off in the car before digging into the bag when that aroma hits your nose. ? This was literally just table salt, some red chili flakes and green onion. No kosher salt flakes, no fried garlic, not even any pepper!? And I know it's not the best for you, buuut, if there's no MSG in the seasoning, it's a fraud. No MSG here. The batter had a kinda thickness to it. Too much batter. Not light and crispy.They aren't the worst I've ever tasted, but darn close. I definitely will not be going back. I'll just make the drive to National City and get the real deal. $25 for some salty-as-ish blah wings and some fried rice. I coulda bought a large pad of chicken wings next door at Food4Less and made my own that would've tasted more authentic and been a more satisfying meal. 2 stars.
