Beachcomber Reviews
I love this place. Good drink prices, plenty of locals , live music, fun bartenders!
This is a long time local hangout.
Great friends, trivia night, dueling pianos, Sunday afternoon dancing.
I think everyone's missing the point. This is one of America's best neighborhood bars in a worlds best location without pretentiousness. This is beach life. This is let's have a good time. This is some of my best memories. Thank God for the Beachcomber.

The Beachcomber is a beloved local spot that has been around for decades, offering a lively atmosphere, great service, and affordable prices. It is a great place for regular locals to escape from the crowds of Mission Beach and the boardwalk. Known for being one of the only late-night options in the area, the restaurant attracts a younger crowd on Friday nights, making it a popular post-bar destination. The bartenders, including the friendly Grace, are quick with a drink and always ready with a story or a laugh. The drinks are strong, and the prices are just right - nothing fancy, just quality. The crowd is an eclectic mix of locals and wanderers, with a large age differential, mostly younger people but not all. The atmosphere feels like a perfect blend of easygoing California beach vibes and old-school dive bar charm. The Beachcomber hosts fun events like free Bingo on Mondays, Trivia on Tuesdays, and Karaoke on Wednesdays, making it a lively spot. It has a pool table and plenty of seating, though Bingo night can get busy. While they do not serve food in the bar, guests can order from nearby restaurants, and some will even walk it over. This is a full-service bar with fair prices and a culture of good energy, where everyone can kick back and enjoy themselves. The Beachcomber has that intangible thing - soul. It's not trying to be anything it's not. It's about good times, cold drinks, and a place that feels like home.
