I asked and was told it is a result of increased costs, but wouldn't it be better to just increase the prices overall? This way the place would be more transparent.“

“This is the second year in a row we have stayed at Crystal Pier in San Diego. Both trips we have ordered deliver from SD TapRoom and all of our meals have been delicious. Last night was the best one for me though. I actually called them thinking they had deliver me a regular crust pizza instead of gluten-free (I have celiac). It tasted WAY TOO GOOD to be gluten-free, but it was! I have no idea how they made such a good crust (I actually said this can’t be what I ordered since it tasted so good)! The salads are also fabulous and my sister had the fish taco’s and loved them. Chili and burgers have also been a hit. Thanks for a great couple of dinners!“

“We visited Karl Strauss in Rancho Bernardo with a large group for a team outing. It’s definitely a good spot for accommodating big, lively groups — the space has a rustic, casual feel that works well for a boisterous gathering.

The food was decent overall, though the vegetarian options were quite limited, which made choices a bit challenging for some in our group. The beer selection was a highlight — people really enjoyed the variety and different flavor profiles available.

One downside was that the heating seemed limited, which made it a bit uncomfortable during our visit.

It’s a great spot for those who enjoy spacious settings, watching sports games, or bringing their pets. The patio is super large, and there’s an oversized TV outdoors for watching games. The cheese balls are highly recommended—they taste amazing! The Novo burger and Poke nachos are also quite good. The nachos come in colorful varieties and offer bottomless refills.“

“The team who works here is amazing. The beer has depth and character and the Hazy's.... OMG! Top notch! It is a San Diego must see/taste brewery. One thing that stands out as well is that the have sours but not traditional ones. They are not sour at all, more like a fruit drink. I can now bring my non beer loving friends with me and enjoy. There are two other breweries attached to this one as well. Three breweries who all have specialties so whatever type of beer you like you will find it it.“

“Had a 50th birthday party at Longball and it was nothing short of AMAZING! Had to find a location last minute because our original venue flaked out, and I’m SO glad they did! Daniel responded to my inquiry immediately and invited me to the bar to talk and try out some of the amazing cocktails. He worked with me and suggested everything from decorations to food vendors. It’s so hard to find an open, honest, CARING establishment these days, but Daniel, Caroline and Demetri are just that!

We had around 50 people at the party, but we easily could have had 100 and be completely comfortable. The bar seating is great. The tables inside are great, the Leather furniture and all the televisions are great. The outdoor patio is great. And the simulator… you guessed it, GREAT!

Everyone was SO accommodating from the get go. After I confirmed that we wanted to book with Daniel, Caroline was immediately in touch to iron out the details, choosing the cocktails to offer, time frames for set up/tear down, food options, decorations and my favorite part, the customized drink menus. So cool! We had everything finalized within 3 days.

Everyone at the party LOVED the venue. The sound level was perfect, Demetri and Caroline behind the bar were amazing, and Daniel spent a lot of time walking around talking to everyone, making sure everyone was happy and even taking orders and delivering cocktails for those high maintenance friends 🤣 Bottom line, everyone had SUCH a fun time, and were talking about it all week afterwards. 2 friends even like it so much that they are most likely going to book their kids’ graduation parties there in the Spring!
