It was a Saturday evening so busier than when I've gone previously. Food was good, but very slow to cone out from the kitchen. Waiter was busy so longer than normal to receive service. But overall good visit, will visit again.

They are very service oriented here, and treat their diners well. The menu is creative and the dishes are nicely presented. My only disappointment was that this restaurant used to give Open Table points, but now, instead, they want you to join a loyalty program and reward you with items you may not want, and you have a deadline to cash in the reward ticket— I'm not interested in being on anyone else's schedule to come to a restaurant- and I don't necessarily want their rewards that they offer. I'd rather collect points and cash them in for a check that I can use on my schedule at the restaurant if my choice.That is basically the reason people use Open Table in the first place.

Booked a reservation here after watching the afternoon show at balboa theater yesterday (Sat 11/1). When my family (6 of us adults) arrived, there were only 2 other tables and it was about 430 pm. We had extremely slow service with poor attitude. When my bf and I got our pizza that we were sharing, I had to waive down the Mgr to ask for plates, and as he was walking over to me, he was shaking his head no multiple times as if I should not be trying to get his attention or something. Service was very slow and seemed like they did not want to serve us at all. Had to ask for refills, plates, a box for leftovers, the check, etc. I had worked in the restaurant business for 12 years, and from what I experienced, this seemed like an absolutely under staffed restaurant with a very lazy Mgr. I wouldn't go back.

Many excellent food choices. All the food the three of us chose was delicious. At least three relatively small dining areas--all quiet. Excellent service. An added benefit is free parking for dinner and, with tickets from the Civic Theater or the Balboa Theater, additional free parking for the performance.

Went on the valet/Balboa theater show/dinner deal (at time of writing that's $10 valet & 20% off food with same day theater ticket) & it was a fantastic value. Got a reservation but it wasn't busy at our early dinner time. Crab roll was delicious, service was great, family happy.

This is our favorite place to go before the theater. The menu has something for everyone and is consistently delicious! We consistently have Juan as a server and he is so kind and always understands if we are in a rush to leave. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Friendly greeting. Excellent service. The watermelon feta salad was flavorful. Only 2 blocks from the Civic Theatre, it is an excellent place for pre or post show dining.
Hoped to have dinner before the show . Our waiter was nice asked if we were going to the show .ordered med rare burger and impossible burger after he took our order we sat there 40 minutes our food never came. We left without eating. The restaurant did not seem overly busy .

Our server was so sweet and did a great job! It was a great deal for a night out at the theatre- 20% off meal and $10 valet parking for meal and show. Easy walk to civic theatre and good food!

We really enjoyed our time here. First time. We took advantage of the theater parking and dining deal which was great! Everyone was friendly and it was not overly crowded. The theater was a short 5 min walk away. We will be back!

Two of us went at 6:30pm before the 8pm performance of Les Mis at the Civic Theater. We were seated immediately, ordered from the scrumptious menu and received our food promptly. Everything was fresh and delicious and we completed our meals by 7:30 so we had plenty of time for our 10 minute walk to the theater. Valet parking was only $10 with theater tickets plus we received 20% off on our dinners. It was the perfect restaurant to fulfill our evening. Highly recommend you try it.
