Always a solid breakfast option when we’re in the area! I like the banana nut pancakes, and really appreciate that they let me swap my eggs out for fruit or potatoes (I don’t like eggs). All of the staff are always so friendly and helpful, and they work hard to take care of everyone even when the restaurant is very busy!

The food was delicious.
Since it was Sunday there was a little wait. Service is very good! The food even better. I love liver and onions. It came with delicious mashed potatoes and colorful and tasty vegetables. Always looking for good country cooking!
Great neighborhood diner, with friendly service! It's packed with all the diner charm & staples; counter service, pie display and food classics (even liver & onions).
Great food and service!

One of the last authentic dining locations in San Diego since the closing of Perry's Diner last year. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. Good size portions. Biscuits and gravy are fantastic. Service is top notch and always exceeds expectations. I like the quaint atmosphere and its a draw for local law enforcement people I noticed, so stay away if you've committed a crime. I love this place!

Our waitress, Vicki, horrible, never came back for refills or to check on us. Arnold, the bus boy, very awesome hustled even waited tables even though not his job well deserves a raise for going above and beyond to help customers.

Ok for a neighborhood place. The pancakes are above average. Coffee below. Decaf was undesirable.

If you’re starving and on a budget, this is the spot. I got the pork chops and eggs combination and the portion was big enough for two meals. The meat was seasoned just right, and the hash browns were perfectly crispy. It’s nothing fancy, just honest, home-cooked food that hits the spot every time. 10/10 for value and speed.

I tried their Grandma Jennie’s pancakes and a side of biscuits & gravy, and both were really comforting and filling. The portions were big, and everything tasted homemade, not rushed. It’s not fancy, but that’s exactly why it feels good to sit and eat here.
