Went to breakfast here for the first time today and it was excellent. We got the build it yourself scramble one with grits and the other with hash browns. Everything was delicious. The prices were reasonable. The service was great. And you can tell it's a neighborhood restaurant cause everyone knew everyone. It was just a good feeling homey place. We will definitely be back.

The staff is fine and the food is adequate. Super expensive just like everywhere in San Diego. Extremely dated atmosphere and decor. If you are going to spend your hard-earned money on a breakfast or lunch out then downtown, La Mesa is much better.

Delightful "old timey" farm/diner atmosphere. DELICIOUS veggie scramble, French Toast, Club sandwich, Rhubarb pie and good coffee with flavored creamers. GREAT service. Will definitely go back soon!

Parking: Went on a weekday around 1:30, there were a couple of spaces available in parking lot south of and kind of behind restaurant.
