The food was a hit! Met a buddy here for lunch and per our servers recommendation we each ordered the prime rib melt. Paired with a side salad and I opted for French fries. Sandwich was fantastic. Kind of like my fries, the server was a little salty. Look past that and it may have been a 5 star lunch. We'll be back soon!

Had my out of town relatives visiting and we had Sunday breakfast. Bloody Mary's were in order and delicious. The food of course was great as well as the service. Bully's is always my go to when I'm entertaining! I've yet to be disappointed!

Pretty good I liked it. Good place

Service was great, but the food was really disappointing. My filet looked like it had been sitting for a while and was kind of spongy. The French onion soup had wayyyyyy too much thyme in it to the point where the soup just tasted like thanksgiving stuffing. My baked potato was definitely old and was rock hard. I'm super sad as I grew up going to Bully's all the time as a kid and teenager and loved it. I guess it changed after i moved away.

Great breakfast, but somewhat expensive, and the service was weak, especially since they weren't busy.

Opentable Diner

I believe this restaurant was closed for some fair amount of time, and everything inside now is sparkling clean and new. Nice! The prices are pretty much typical, the menu is a bit less extensive than I remember it, but it's been a long time. Service was good, food was as advertised. I guess my one comment is: there is nothing compelling about the place, menu, or prices. Bully's used to be the go-to place for prime rib. Outstanding prime rib at great prices. Now...ho hum. Looked like a great bar. Cocktail menu looked good. Wine prices were good. But still: nothing to get to me jump in the car and run down to Bully's.

Disappointing lunch. Food was mediocre at best. Based on quality, flavor and taste of food - the food was overpriced.

Saturday morning ..Only 3 of us at the table . I requested online the “ main dining room “ . Hostess tried to sit us in the bar / side booth . I explained in my OpenTable reservation we had a 91 yr old man with us . There was only one other table in the main dining room that was occupied . Waitress was pleasant ... one order of game day breakfast came out .. hash browns burned . We had to wait another 4 mins for the other 2 egg dishes to come out , so we could all eat together . The other 2 meals were “ lukewarm “ at best . 22.00 for eggs Benedict , I would of liked them hot and hollandaise sauce warm too . Keep in mind ... the restaurant was practically empty . I'm sure it was just an off day but when we left at 11:15 ... still we're not a lot of tables filled . I've been coming to this Bully's for over 35 yrs ...

Server friendly and accommodating. They apparently changed the calamari receipe to coat the calamari with panko. Not as good and tender as previous calamari that I considered the best in town. Calamari tough and panko hard to chew through. Will not order again. Prime rib bites were cut in small bites and overdone. 8oz prime rib was tasty as was the lobster tail.

Service wasn't great, long breaks between the server coming by and water glasses and sodas were always needing refill. The food was bland but edible. I love the ambience though. At $60 for a filet I'm not expecting wagyu, but I would expect better quality than what we received. It's OK, about it.

French onion soup was like we remembered very good. They used to serve hot bread and butter, but we had to ask for bread and it was cold. Prime rib was not cooked to order and barely warm, baked potatoes were smaller and just ok. Service fair. Probably wouldn't return.

Our biggest problem was that we were placed in a room and did not see our waiter hardly at all. Water glasses were unfilled and we waited forever for the waiter to come back so we could get our bill and leave.

It's all about the best service in San Diego! The food used to be better and I am bummed the street corn is gone. Oh yeah and the best key lime pie in San Diego. Bring those two things back, please.
