I love this place! I go here every weekend. The staff are wonderful and the coffee is very good. It's important to note, though, that the coffee flavor changes a LOT depending on which staff makes it.My biggest gripe is that being inside the building just sucks a bit. It's always somehow too hot and humid despite the outside temperature, and the music is always waaay too loud, to the point you almost have to shout to talk to the person next to you. The themeing on the inside is very nice, but as soon as a crowd is in there its just suffocating to be inside. Also, it's near impossible to get into the building on a wheelchair if the doors are closed. The doors open on a slight ramp/hill, they are very heavy, and you have to open both of the doors to fit in because a single door is too narrow for a wheelchair.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is very difficult to enter the café in a wheelchair because of how heavy the front doors are. There is also no wheelchair accessible seating.

Love this place. Quick friendly service and the food is delicious. California turkey and a green juice is perfect combo.

Seriously the best cafe! My go to spot for lunch they have literally everything you could want. Their acai is so fresh (not sorbet) and their sandwiches are amazing! Incredible prices and awesome location - can walk to the bay easily! Love this place so much! The owner is also the nicest and the staff is really friendly!

I placed an order online with a 30 minute wait. I get there on time and I wait another 25 minutes....the smoothie lacked in flavor. The egg cheese and bacon bagel was average at best and super greasy. The lack of staffing is a glaring issue at this place.

Parking: The parking is terrible

Best acai in san diego by far! The prices are equal to other acai places but you seem to get twice the amount. Friendly staff, and cute place for breakfast

Best açaí bowl I’ve ever had. Avocado toast and bagels were fire as well.

Really true....good service. Get there 30 before lunch time though. Can get crazy with beaches on each side of the Cafe. Pr just call in your order. Food was fresh...and better then what I make at home. Well worth the $10. Plus a $3 tip. Outside seating was clean as well,....great shade. And another plus.....the stunning redhead woman making my sandwich.

Service is friendly and always working hard. The açaí bowls, smoothies and sandwiches are all incredible. This is one of my favorite little spots to pick up brunch on the weekends.

I've only ever had sandwiches here and I've been having them here for the last 5 years. I don't know what they do or how they do it but my god, they are amazing.Try the Cali turkey or steak sub! Amazing!

Cafe by the Bay has been my FAVORITE go-to for acai for over 10 years! Great ingredients, great people, very reasonable prices. They also have a variety of other foods and they're ALL delicious (but the acai really has my heart). HIGHLY recommend this Cafe for your next breakfast & lunch!

Cafe by the Bay is the best spot for Açaí bowls in San Diego! I used to live a few blocks away, and now I moved out of the neighborhood but my friends and I still make special trips to Cafe by the Bay because it’s the yummiest!I also adore the veggie burrito. As a vegetarian I am often disappointed with veggie burritos, but this one packs so much flavor and my carnivorous boyfriend loves it too!The patio is also quite lovely, and dog friendly. Thank you Cafe by the Bay!

Love this spot! I walk here a few times a week. The smoothies and food are great and always made fresh! The staff is friendly and welcoming. If you are in the Crown Point area definitely stop by and give them a try!

Beware of long lines, it may take a while to get in and out with your food especially sandwiches. Iced latte wasnt that great but the game changer fruit bowl was good.
