Love their tea frescas. They change them out every month so I always get a taster of each when I go. Love the chia seeds and my boyfriend loves the chrysanthemum jelly.

This is my favorite boba spot in San Diego! I try to go to boba places that use authentic ingredients such as real tea and milk (no powdered milk or artificial flavoring). Camellia Rd uses honey to sweeten their boba and cane sugar syrup for their milk teas. Their tea selection is fantastic with great flavor so if you are a tea person this is the place for you. They also have boardgames available in shop so my husband and I love to come here for a quick date and bring our baby. it can get crowded and there are often lots of people studying. Coming in the evening or at an off time is recommended. When it’s not crowded it is a nice open space with room for strollers if you’re a mom out there! Board games too if you have older kids. They have alternative milk options and rotating seasonal flavors. They also dont accept cash. There is a free parking lot outside but again can get crowded and be difficult to find parking but it is a large lot so if you are persistent you’ll find a spot eventually. 10/10 would recommend as a great family spot, place to hangout, or study.

Great tea at an ok price, please bring back blue bunny or black sesame milktea 🙏
Edit: they brought back black sesame for Feb 2025, most is right with the world again

Recommended by our son, we wanted to try Camellia Road Tea Bar tonight. A welcoming decor of little figurines and framed art. The friendly and patient young lady at the front counter greeted us warmly and offered four popular drinks, including her favorite, Hojicha. Yummy! 50% sweet with Boba. Can’t wait to return for our next Camellia Road tea!

Stopped by here back in April'24.

We stopped by after lunch looking to try some San Diego boba.

3 of us ordered different drinks and no one really seemed to enjoy it. I ended up tossing mine after a few sips...

Parking is difficult in the area.

Ambiance inside is nice, but the drinks were a miss for all of us.

Our neighbor said this is his favorite tea house because of the monthly specials.

I wouldn’t say it’s our favorite. The menu is basic and customizable. You pick your choice of tea from a list of 11, sweetness level, milk choice, and toppings.

We got the October specials. Strawberry Hojicha was more thick and fruity while the hojicha puer had sticky rice purr tea with creamy oat milk, infused with jasmine rice and tea. Tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch!

Their tea is strong and kept me up. They also sell their loose tea leaf. Very high quality.

If we’re in the area, I would check out what’s on rotation for their monthly specials. Parking in this plaza is not great as it shares the same lot as Daiso and many bars and eateries.

Camellia is the best place to get tea in San Diego by far. They are fast, their tea tastes great, and the inside of the shop is clean and lively. Also, get the jasmine coffee milk tea whenever it pops up.

Reddit led me to Camellia Rd, and it did not disappoint!! I ordered a pineapple mint oolong tea (one of their September tea frescas), and it was so good that I finished the entire drink in 30 min. That’s high praise coming from someone who takes hours to finish a drink. Tea and fruit flavors were perfectly balanced. Worker was friendly and my drink came out fast.

Delicious brewed tea. Their monthly frescas are great and the staff is good about letting you sample different teas before you order. I normally get jasmine or oolong milk tea full sugar with honey boba but their oolong guava was too good to pass up. I always stop by when I’m in the area.

Great selection of teas available and there’s also a lot of toppings and add-ons for the them. Menu is easy to go thru and order from and if you don’t want something sweet there’s always the option of having no sugar in it and adding items into it that’s not already soaked in sugar syrup. Worth a drive down to if you’re in the general area.
